"This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this property. We love it! It is the perfect place to truly unwind from a busy life. The beach is lovely, and the water is warm in July. We absolutely love looking at all the Petoskey and Charlevoix stones. I would recommend water shoes, if you are going on long walks or in the water to swim due to the stones that wash in at the shoreline. The neighbors are quietly friendly and George is a wonderful host. Nearby Lexington and Port Sanilac have cute restaurants, shops, and Farmer's Markets. The last two times we have stayed there, we had a double rainbow that started straight out from the house and ended at the southern point. Pretty amazing site!"

"Comfortable bed!! Quiet place. Able to darken room fully! Old-school tub with real tile. Cute metal tea/coffee pot. Polite staff. What more can you ask from a 2-star hotel? They even have laundry facilities available. Halls and room a little musty, but running the a/c cleared the smell. Pool appeared a bit on the murky side, despite a chlorine-tablet floatie bobbing around. We did not attend the complimentary breakfast, but there was a waffle maker, yogurt, juice, etc. available. I liked the split staircase with wooden banister leading to the second floor. NOTE: Be sure to request a room on the first floor if you don't climb stairs; there is no elevator."

"Plenty of room for our multigenerational family group. Bedrooms were spacious & quiet- we had two babies with us. Perfect location to explore beaches & places to kayak-short drives to each. Port Austin market on Saturday morning was great. Port Crescent Park beach was nice as well as Harbor Beach. Saw all 3 lighthouses in county. Bad Axe only 25 minutes away or Dollar General 5 miles away for incidentals. And the best…ice cream shop 1/2 mile away-can walk or ride bikes! Kid friendly place. Host was exceptional, friendly, & easy to contact & responded back quickly. Would definitely stay again!"

"This home is absolutely stunning! Pictures do not do it justice. It is spacious, clean, and so comfortable. The kiddos were beyond excited to stay in the jungle room. They had a blast playing upstairs in all of the little nooks. I felt it was a good environment for the littles other than a few sharp edges that I needed to cover (the edges of the trundle bed and kitchen counters.) The glass top of the tv stand made me nervous but it did not end up being an issue. The path to the water was shorter than expected. The views are stunning and it is very quiet and private. It was not a good spot for playing in the water but the local beach downtown was so perfect and only a 4 minute drive. I highly recommend this home for families or adults looking for a peaceful escape. I will warn you, there are very few options for dining out and we had a particularly negative experience with the local pizza place. Its worth it to drive a little farther to go to Boonedocks (so good!). Otherwise, you will want to bring all of your food with you to cook. "
