This was our first hotel we stopped at after a long day of traveling to the country. The hotel is gorgeous and the whole place feels relaxing, quiet and peaceful. From our large and well decorated room we loved watching the bird life and even spotted a family of hippos. The food was delicious and it was lovely to sit out on the water during the day and inside the property in the evening (we visited in August). We hired a car and there is so much to explore from the local area. We would have stopped another couple of days if we could.

It was very nice, except for the breakfast bill of R175. I have ordered 1 slice of toast, 1 egg and a small cheese griller. I could not believe it...

Bambuu Lakeside Lodge, a perfect getaway
Beautiful and peaceful setting, lovely garden and view. Staff are friendly, very accommodating and helpful. You can dine indoors or outdoors right on the lake's edge. Food was good and the dinner menu had nice choices and was quite tasty. Perfect get away for couples and close to numerous tourist attractions in Sabie, Graskop, Hazyview and game drives at the Kruger National Park.

Although we only stayed for one night. We had a great time. The pool is well kept. The room was extremely clean and the staff was friendly and super helpful.

Absolutely stunning setting and scenery. Could’ve sat on the deck and watched the bird life all day. Good service from all staff and dinner was delicious! Would definitely come back if I’m in South Africa again

We absolutely loved the Bambuu Lakeside Lodge! We stayed here three nights when we visited Kruger. The hotel and grounds were beautiful and cozy! Our room was right on the lake, making our stay very peaceful with stunning views. Dinner was delicious and there were always great food and drink options. All of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and we especially enjoyed our interactions with Moses who was awesome!

A decent venue
Amazing venue and a great guest house. The staff are amazing and very helpful and friendly. I do expect a clean pool when I am on holiday thoughand the fact that I could not due to the dirty water and algae was disappointing. Could not swim and have a cocktail and enjoy the view. The other comfort issue that I had was the bed was poor quality. I woke up every morning with a sore back. Pillows also poor quality. Overall a good stay but it could have been great.

Hi Jason, Thank you for your comments. The pool however has no Algae in it. We use borehole water and sometimes the micro elements in the water causes a strange reaction. Nevertheless we have sorted out the problem. Then regarding your comment on the quality of the bed, I believe is completely unfounded. Our beds are of the highest quality and so are our pillows. If you complained during your stay, we could have changed your pillows to either softer or firmer as we do keep these. It is always difficult to please all guests as some prefer a firmer mattress and others a softer mattress.

Schönes und modern, sowie geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer mit Terrasse direkt am See, in welchem zirka fünf Flusspferde leben. Tolles und großes Bad. Sehr höfliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Sehr leckeres Abendessen zu fairen Preisen. Zufahrtsstraße ist sehr holprig.

Superbe emplacement sur un lac et proche des entrées Numbi et Phabeni du parc Kruger. Dîner de qualité pour un prix raisonnable. Chambre très confortable. Prévoir des boules quies si vous n'êtes pas habitués aux bruits de la nature.

Eine traumhafte Unterkunft mit gutem Service. Das Hotel ist in einem neuwertigen Zustand und sehr gepflegt. Klasse Lage direkt am See. Im hauseigenen Restaurants gab es zum Abendessen nur leider zwei Menüs zur Auswahl. Das Essen selbst hat gut geschmeckt.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft, großräumige Zimmer. Personal (Gottfried) ist unheimlich nett und zuvorkommend. Frühstück auf dem Steg inmitten von Seerosen. Abendessen in Hazyview in KUKA`s-Cafe: Bestes Steak ever!

Lodge lindo, ficamos em um quarto enorme com vista para piscina e lago. 15 min do "centro"da cidade, onde há bons restaurantes. Há opção de almoço e jantar no hotel, porém não experimentamos. O acesso deve ser de carro, passado por uma estrada de terra esburacada dentro da propriedade do hotel, não há necessidade de 4x4, porém à noite achei perigosa.

Espectacular!!
Hotel boutique de poquísimas habitaciones, con vistas a un lago, tranquilidad absoluta. Decoración exquisita de zonas comunes y habitaciones. Baño espectacular. Cama enorme y comodísima. Cena excelente. No es a la carta pero acuerdan menú previamente con varias opciones. Desayuno buenísimo en porche de madera sobre el lago. Ideal para visitar zona Blyde River Canyon y hacer noche al entrar/salir de Kruger/Skukuza. Sitio excepcional!!
