About this property

6,000 Sq Ft Country Home with Large Swimming Pool — Private Hideaway

  • North Davis Heights -- a private hideaway between Woodland and Davis

Our unique country house sits on 70 acres of working farmland, far enough off the road that the porch turns into a planetarium at night — and still a short drive from town. It's built for groups: sleeps 10+ across 4 bedrooms — a king, a queen, a full, and a room with a cozy bunk bed — plus comfy "boneless" couches to sink into (or crash on) — and four bathrooms, one of them a jetted tub and shower for soaking after a long day outside.

There's room to gather and room to slip away. Spread out in the 4+ living areas, rack up a game on the indoor pool table, socialize in the Maproom/den, or settle into the enclosed sunroom, where a TV and a full wall of windows look out over the backyard pool. When it's warm, the pool is the center of everything; when it isn't, climate control keeps the whole house comfortable year-round.

The kitchen is fully equipped — coffee maker, toaster, microwave, toaster oven, electric cooktop, and a built-in oven — so cooking for a crowd is easy. A separate laundry room with washer and dryer, plenty of parking, and a detached garage cover the practical side. Not in the mood to cook? DoorDash delivers right to the door.

Planning a pool party or a birthday bash? Turn it up — with no close neighbors, there's no noise limit here. That's a "yes" you won't get at most rentals :) However, to avoid extra fees, you MUST leave the house in the same condition that you found it in, which includes but is not limited to:
    1. Bagging ALL trash & placing it outside of the front door
    2. Returning any moved furniture back to its original place
    3. Not staining furniture and carpet
    4. Turning off all appliances and temperature control units

You're set squarely between Woodland to the north and Davis to the south, with Sacramento International Airport less than 30 minutes away. Come see why we call it our hideaway — we're looking forward to your stay.

We stayed here for a wedding weekend with a group of 7, and the house fit our needs well. There's tons of room to spread out, and the 1970s vibe gives it real character. The pool, pool table, sunroom, and multiple living areas made it a great home base for a group. It's definitely dated and a little worn in spots, so don't expect a polished, modern rental, but it's comfortable and functional.Mason and Roxanne were responsive and fair. When VRBO overcharged us after we updated our guest count, they quickly refunded the difference. One tip for future guests: the checkout instructions in the VRBO booking say to leave bagged trash by the front door and gather linens, but the hosts actually want linens in the laundry room and trash taken to the bin at the end of the gravel road. Message the hosts before checkout to confirm.Overall, a good value for a large group that wants space and a pool.
