Top Sahara Desert Hotel Reviews

Le Méridien Cairo Airport
10/10 Excellent
"Nice quality hotel to stay at especially if you have an early morning or late night flight departure or arrival. There is a pedestrian bridge that you can walk directly from airport to hotel. "

Viaje Hotel Downtown Cairo
2/10 Terrible
"Checkin was okay, this is a new hotel taking up two floors in a very old downtown building. Entrance terrible, lift hardly works, bed linen had top sheet missing and very high pillows. Service was shocking. Staff were rude and surly we were ignored much of the time. Felt we were interrupting them and there were a lot of staff! Breakfast acceptable - only just. We booked in for two nights and checked out early as we could not stay a second night. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. Wait 6 months - they may learn how to show hospitality - or they will go broke!"

Le Passage Cairo Hotel & Casino
10/10 Excellent
"Normally an airport hotel is one suited for just a one night stay. This hotel is one where we could have spent several days due to the amenities."

Hilton Cairo Grand Nile
8/10 Good

Jolie Ville Hotel & Spa Kings Island Luxor
2/10 Terrible
"I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was disappointing. Upon arrival, I waited ~45 minutes for check-in with no assistance and had to follow up myself, followed by another delay to access my room.
As I work online, reliable Wi-Fi is essential; unfortunately, it was inconsistent despite assurances. That evening, a neighboring guest knocked aggressively through a shared door to complain, which was uncomfortable and inappropriate. The next morning, housekeeping mistakenly asked me to check out.
While the manager apologized and offered an upgrade, the experience was already impacted. Even after moving, poor sound insulation meant constant noise (voices, a crying baby, phones).
I chose this hotel for comfort and tranquility, especially to balance work and recovery after a medical situation. This was not met. I appreciate the efforts made, but given the disruptions, a goodwill gesture would be appropriate."

Ramses Hilton
10/10 Excellent
"Indian restaurant was amazing as was the room service. Rooms were extremely spacious and clean. WiFi worked well."

Novotel Cairo Airport
4/10 Poor
"The staff were horrible, probably the most unaccommodating staff I’ve encountered on my trips abroad so far. I was kindly asking for the WiFi acess as I needed to update people about my arrival to Cairo, but the staff rudely dismissed my concern and gave empty promises. What a very unreliable service!"

The Nile Ritz-Carlton, Cairo
10/10 Excellent
"Yes"

Sofitel Cairo Nile El Gezirah
10/10 Excellent
"Stayed at the Sofitel Zamalek and overall had a great experience. The room was comfortable and clean, breakfast buffet at $30 was fresh and varied, and the location is fantastic—safe and convenient.
A heads-up: airport transfers are now $110 USD, which is way overpriced—Uber is a much better option. Prices across the hotel have gone up, and the online menus aren’t updated, so be prepared for that.
Despite that, the service and comfort made it a solid stay."
