Ancienne Étable Entièrement Rénovée au Cœur du Parc National du Vercors

In the heart of the Vercors Regional Natural Park, in a small hamlet at an altitude of 750 m, 3km from the village, this old stable has been completely renovated by us, with a lot of heart at work.
Located on the first floor of our house, the cottage is completely independent and can accommodate 4 to 6 people in a rustic, cocooning and cozy setting. An atypical and unusual accommodation!

The cottage is organized around 2 complementary spaces: a day part and a night part.

A large living room welcomes you as soon as you arrive. It consists of a lounge area, a dining area and a kitchen area.
The pellet stove dresses the entire room and its beautiful flame will provide you with warmth, soothing and well-being in the heart of winter.

The sleeping area consists of:
- a "master" bedroom, with a double bed (140).
The main bathroom, and its walk-in shower, is adjoining the bedroom.
- a bunk bed with 2 double beds (140) for the comfort of young and old alike.
A toilet (sink + toilet) completes this space.

Our garden is non-adjoining, but it is 50 metres from the gîte, inside the hamlet, on the banks of the river La Vernaison: an ideal green setting for relaxing, in the middle of nature.

We offer you here, at the Étable du Vercors, a setting perfectly suited to disconnection and slowing down. With this in mind, you will find a library (with a varied collection and books in English), magazines, guides, tourist information, games (for young and old), a radio, a Bluetooth speaker but no screen!

The accommodations are non-smoking.

For stays of only one night, we will ask you to bring your own towels. Thank you in advance.

Bring your SLIPPERS for more comfort.

You will find everything you need to be happy near the cottage:
- The 4 seasons and their activities: hiking (some start from the cottage), picking, caving, canyoning, climbing, mountaineering, cycling, mountain biking, sledging, snowshoeing, skiing (the resorts of Font d'Urle and Herbouilly are about twenty minutes from the cottage).
- A unique territory - the Drôme Vercors - with immense and wild spaces where combine Nature and History (Nature Reserve of the Hauts-Plateaux du Vercors, Memorial of the Resistance in Vassieux en Vercors).
- The National Nature Reserve of the Hauts-Plateaux du Vercors, accessible from the commune of St-Agnan-en-Vercors (La Coche parking lot), constitutes the heart of nature of the Vercors Park: no permanent dwelling or road crosses it. It is the largest terrestrial nature reserve in mainland France!
- Underground and caves (La Luire, Choranche, etc)
- The know-how of local craftsmen and producers (cheese, trout, ravioli, beer, etc).
- Mythical roads carved into the side of cliffs such as Combe Laval.
- The sky and the stars! In 2023, the Vercors Regional Natural Park was awarded the International Dark Sky Reserve label!

And, you can write your loved ones beautiful postcards about your stay in the Vercors, with us, and post it from the hamlet: the La Poste mailbox is on the façade of our house!

ACCESS:
La Chapelle-en-Vercors, is 7 minutes away by car and 30 minutes on foot, it is a bit like the Capital: a market on Thursdays (and Saturdays in summer), a butcher's shop, a mini-market, bakeries, bars, restaurants, a swimming pool, and health services (doctors and pharmacy).
To the north, leaving the Gorges de la Bourne, Villard de Lans is 35 minutes away: the Vercors Isère opens its arms to you, a huge playground and discoveries of all kinds, too.
To the south, at the bottom of the Col du Rousset, the Diois (Die region) is 45 minutes away, there is lavender and already Mediterranean airs.
