Gîte L'Olivier - Gîtes des Campanes - near Vallon Pont d'Arc

Gîtes des Campanes were created in November 2009 at 800 m from the village center of Saint Alban Auriolles and its shops (supermarket, bakery, post office ...) Saint Alban Auriolles is located in South Ardèche, 5 km from Ruoms and 14 km from Vallon Pont d'Arc and its famous Chauvet cave, at the confluence of the Chassezac, Ardèche and Beaume rivers that allow canoeing, kayaking, swimming and fishing. At the end of a dead end, the Campanes lodgings offer all year round to the seasonal hiring, for your holidays, 7 traditional houses (4 and 6 people maximum) perfectly equipped, labeled 3 stars in furnished with tourism. The cottages are located in a wood of oaks. The country and quiet environment is conducive to rest and relaxation. The private space, hidden from view, available to each cottage allows independence and their provision centered on the secured pool allows a certain user-friendliness.
From the cottages, many marked trails allow to make beautiful walks for all levels. The cottages Campanes accept a pet and checks holidays.

  • This is just one of many spectacular views from a walk entitled "Pas Du Loup". We started at Capluc, a cross on a peak above Le Rozier and did the entire circuit. It's still comfortably in my top ten all time great walks. If you suffer acrophobia it's one to be avoided. The area is also something of a mecca for rock climbers. The whole Goreg du Tarn is a special place for me because the tourist buses don't go there and it's reputedly the deepest gorge in Europe.
