"Room had wall mounted tv removed from fixed wall frame with temporary cables running to a tv sat on the dressing table which also obscured the mirror. Bathroom sliding door was broken. Crisps/chips were left on the floor under the edge of the bed from previous guest. Complained to reception who initially said there was nothing wrong and why were we complaining as the room had a tv. We asked for another room and were told it was not possible as the hotel was full when in fact it was actually only about 50% occupied.Booked this hotel as result of it being called “fabulous” on hotels.com web site. "

"Grand for a one night stop only ..cheap....needs updating big time. Door hanadle didnt work properly and the general state of the carpets weren't great either. Bed was good, staff were good and thr adjoining restaurant was very very good👍 "

"Fantastic holiday! We travelled with our 2 boys aged 10 and 5. We had a great holiday and we were sad to leave!Chris and Julie are the loveliest, most accommodating people you could meet! We had a warm welcome and a lovely welcome basket of goodies which we were very grateful for!The gite was clean, tidy and cosy. Well equipped, TV and WiFi. The bed in particular needs a special mention- it was SO comfortable!The pool is spectacular! Set in a beautiful garden, with lovely plants and tall tree’s. It was very private with plenty of loungers and seats. My boys didn’t ever want to get out of it!We explored the local area and visited several towns and villages. Lots to do and see within reasonable driving distance. Chris and Julie accommodated our travel needs with our boys, and were available if we needed any help with anything. Really really lovely people and we will definitely consider staying at their gite again in the future.Thank you again to both for a lovely holiday! xxx"

"We filled the chateau with 26 people, aged from 2 to 80, and it never felt overcrowded. Lots of lovely old furniture, but new good quality bedlinen and towels. Very clean. We mostly cooked for ourselves, and the kitchen was well-equipped for such numbers. Outside, there's a new tennis court by the pool, both are great. (The free-standing pool in the main photo has been replaced by a much better one, and the badminton/volleyball court is no longer there). The outside dining furniture has also been upgraded from the white plastic in the photos and was very nice. It was perfect for Puy du Fou but also in a lovely area to explore - though we mostly stayed at home to enjoy the facilities. One thing to note - the pool and tennis are 'communal' which means you may be sharing them with another large party in the other half of the chateau. With a bit of polite communication that was not a problem, especially with so much fine weather."

"A lovely house with lots of space. A few points to note, though, when booking, there are no towels included in the stay, not even bathroom hand towels. Check-in times are very strict and not flexible. There is no key safe option. The owners want to be there to meet you and check the property before you leave. Charges apply if you don’t empty the dishwasher etc on departure. The garden also has joint access with the owners who stay next door. (However, we didn’t see them when we stayed).A nice location, nice house, friendly owners, just a few strict elements that made the stay not as relaxed as it could have been. "
