The medieval tower of the Château de la Carrée ***

In short: Charming well-equipped detached house, for two, in the heart of a village with shops; green setting with garden and terrace; direct access to the forest and many hikes; ideal for exploring (Fougères and its castle 10 min, Le-Mont-Saint-Michel and Rennes 30 min, Saint-Malo, Dinard, Granville less than an hour away).

I invite you to stay in this medieval tower, in the heart of the Marches de Bretagne.
With a surface area of 33 m² distributed on three levels, it benefits from all the comfort of current standards, guaranteed by the official three-star classification***. Located in the village, you will be a stone's throw from local shops (bakery, mini-market, bar-tabac...).
You will have a 200 m² garden, quiet (the neighbouring plots are meadows) and nicely undulating with terrace and furniture.

You will be in the immediate vicinity of the forest and at the crossroads of many hiking trails such as the GR37, one of the routes to Compostela or the "La Régalante" cycle route. And above all, it is the ideal place to explore Brittany (Fougères 10 minutes away, St Malo, Dinard, Rennes, Vitré less than an hour away) or Normandy (half an hour from Mont-Saint-Michel or an hour from Granville).PGJyPg
Note that the accommodation is distributed by narrow stairs which are not very suitable for people with reduced mobility. We are close to the church and, even if it is discreet (no one has ever complained about it), the bells ring the hours and half hours day and night. I can accommodate animals but the garden is not airtight, so it is to be discussed on a case-by-case basis. There is no castle left to speak of but there is still this tower and some outbuildings.

To go into the details of the rooms, at the very top is the bedroom, with a 140 cm bed, a small living room, a work area, a sink and a TV.
On the middle level is the kitchen (in the old fireplace) and the dining table. There is everything you need (oven, hob, microwave, toaster, espresso machine, sink, crockery...).
Downstairs are the toilet with shower and a laundry area with a washing machine.
The private area in front of the gate allows you to park two cars.
