Tucked away in a quiet close of just five properties at the foot of the mountains, Chalet J'Elage is a great place for a family holiday in the Alps, whatever the time of year.

The owners have spent many happy holidays at the chalet with their own children, and have set the chalet up with everything required for their guests to have an easy and enjoyable family holiday experience. 

With a lovely large flat lawn, an unusual semi-circular stone bench, dining table, sunbeds and a table tennis table out of doors, this property works as well in summer as it works in winter. The garden is open to the access road for the 5 chalets close by, not a main road.

Children can find space to play or read in the cute ensuite bunk room on the ground floor - the upstairs bedrooms are spacious and two have cosy sofa’s too. That leaves plenty of room for the adults to relax in peace and quiet downstairs!

Free wifi, cleaning, towels & linen included.

Please note : Chalet J'Elage is less than 5km/a 10-minute drive away from both the resorts of La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
We require a security deposit of €1,000 via a pre-authentication of your credit or debit card, which does not affect your card balance. The pre-authentication will be released as soon as we’ve checked the property and confirmed there is no damage. This is normally done right after your stay, but it could take up to 14 days after your departure.

Perfect for family reunions

We had a lovely second stay at Chalet J'Elage with our Australian and French families. The chalet is well-equipped, well-decorated, and the beds are very comfortable. It is also very well-located for people who want to ski (in Le Grand Bornand and La Clusaz), but also for those who do not ski and want to drive to Annecy for day excursions. Perfect for all ages and for family reunions.

Notre séjour en famille au chalet Jelage a été des plus agréables ! Il est vraiment confortable et très beau, et nous avons beaucoup apprécié la décoration. Le fait que ce soit un chalet familial le rend vraiment vivant et chaleureux. La cuisine, suréquipée, permet de cuisiner sans jamais manquer d’ustensiles. Enfin, la literie est top ! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Le logement est décoré avec goût et les prestations sont de qualité. les chambres sont très belles avec une vue absolument géniale. Nous avons apprécié également la cheminée et le fait que les animaux soient acceptés, ce qui est rare. Néanmoins il faut savoir que les pistes ne sont pas accessibles à pieds et a 10min en voiture. Les navettes sont assez éloignées donc difficilement un séjour sans voiture. En dehors de cela tout était impeccable !

Le chalet possède tous les équipements dernier cri

Chalet situé au pied du Mont le Crêt. Belle balade à réaliser tout autour de la location. Les pistes de ski sont à proximité. Dans notre cas, nous sommes allés tous les jours au Grand Bornand où la station est plus familiale et accueillante. Le chalet possède tous les équipements dernier cri, ce qui est très agréable pour cuisiner et se chauffer.

Un acceuil désagréable, traumatisant, et préjudiciable.

Bien que nous ayons appelé1h avant l'arrivée comme demandé, personne pour nous accueillir à notre arrivée. Nous avons attendu pendant plus d'une heure, mais personne. Visite imprévue dans la soirée de la responsable, nous avons dû abandonner nos courses à 3 km pour revenir en urgence. Accueil terriblement froid. Bien que les animaux soient admis, ceux-ci ne sont pas autorisés à séjourner au chalet en l'absence de personnes, donc les sorties de vacances (restos, courses, magasins, visites,...) sont impossibles. Des conditions clairement inadaptées à une location de vacances. La responsable nous a informé que le chalet était surveillé en continu par des caméras au mépris de tout respect de notre vie privée, et qu'elle saurait si les chiens étaient seuls au chalet ! Bien que nous les ayons déclarés lors de la réservation, nous avons été contraints de payer 500€ de caution supplémentaire à notre arrivée, pour avoir le droit de profiter de notre location pourtant déjà payée dans les règles (2000€ + 1000€ de caution) ! Pour justifier cette procédure, nous avons été accusés de manière répétée d'avoir dissimulé la présence d'animaux dans notre réservation. Mais bien que nous ayons prouvé qu'ils avaient bien été déclarés en bonne et due forme, aucune excuse, et maintient de la caution supplémentaire en total irrespect des conditions contractuelles. Par ailleurs, le chalet était sale (vitres incroyablement sales au soleil, sols à l'étage ne permettant pas de marcher en chaussettes blanches, four inexploitable dégageant une forte fumée incommodante de graisses brûlées au préchauffage, près d'une 12aine d'ampoules grillées un peu partout, etc...Nous avons du acheter des produits de nettoyage et des ampoules, pour le rendre acceptable... En outre, les locataires sont sommés d'enlever les déjections de leurs animaux sur la propriété, ce qui est compréhensible. Mais le chalet ne dispose d'aucune clôture extérieure et nous avons vu les chiens des voisins à plusieurs reprises se promener sur la propriété... Au final, nous n'avons rien compris à ce qui nous arrivait. Nous louons pourtant des propriétés depuis 30 ans et nous n'avons jamais connu connu un tel cauchemar. A éviter si vous souhaitez passer de bonnes vacances ! Enfin, la caution supplémentaire arrachée dans des conditions déplaisantes ne nous a toujours pas été restituée, 14J après notre départ (!!!) avec un chalet bien plus propre.

Superbe semaine dans chalet magnifique

Nous avons passé une superbe semaine. Le chalet est magnifique, très bien décoré et meublé. Il est aussi très confortable : lits tout confort, plein de vaisselle et d'ustensiles de cuisine, cheminée et bois pour le feu. Son emplacement est idéal entre La Clusaz et le Grand Bornand. Le service fut excellent : Mandy nous a répondu très vite quand il y avait une question ou un problème. Merci de nous avoir laissé les luges! On se sent bien dans ce chalet. Merci pour le bon équipement, ainsi que les livres, ce qui nous a donné l'impression d'être comme à la maison.

Premiers pas inoubliables en montagne

Nous avons passé une superbe semaine avec notre fille de 14 mois et nos 2 chiens. Le chalet est très bien équipé et adapté aux bébés (chaise haute, lit bébé, baignoire...) Nous avons découvert la superbe région grâce aux magnifiques randonnées avec le soleil. Notre fille a fait ses premiers pas sur la terrasse nous ne l'oublierons jamais !

Pour la 9ème année consécutives, nous sommes partis entre copains aux sports d'hiver. Le chalet est magnifique, on ne manque de rien, à part le jacuzzi (confort de fin de journée de ski oblige). Le Grand Bo et La Clusaz sont deux très beaux domaines skiables pour tous les niveaux de skieurs. Accueil au chalet très chaleureux. Merci pour tout. A recommander.
