This Cevennes farmhouse is an isolated architectural ensemble in the middle of nature, at the end of a 2km dirt road, guaranteeing you absolute calm. It dominates the plain of Ales, with a view as far as Mont Bouquet. <br><br>This family home has remained authentic and offers a particularly soft and pleasant atmosphere with a multiplicity of passages, and various areas that converge on the central courtyard served by a superb dry stone vault <br><br>The whole benefits from a large swimming pool (access to which is secure) of 12m x 6m with its teak deck, a 90m2 Pompignan paved beach and the essential bowling alley, The house can generously accommodate sixteen people with its 7 bedrooms, equipped with a sink area. The bedrooms are from 11 to 24 m2 and are all located on the 1st floor, as are the 3 bathrooms (2 with shower, 1 with bathtub) and the laundry room (2 washing machines + a dryer). 3 separate toilets (1 on the ground floor, 2 on the 1st). <br><br>Please note that we do not provide bed linen and towels, details of the bedding in the description of the rooms.<br><br>The overall rented area of the house is approximately 400m2, comprising on the ground floor a large kitchen of 35m2, a living room of 50m2 with a wood stove, a dining room of 35m2 and a library of 30m2. <br>The kitchen is fully equipped (a gas stove/oven, an electric stove/oven, dishwasher, fridges, freezer, microwave, coffee machine, ice maker, food processor, kettles, etc.), a large table for dining for 12 people without worries, and a wood stove for autumn evenings. Bouygues Telecom's fibre provides you with very high-speed Wi-Fi.<br><br>The courtyard with its shade veil and a large table awaits you in front of the kitchen for your outdoor meals, with a 3-burner gas plancha. Ping Pong and children's games available in a covered outbuilding overlooking the swimming pool area, access to which is secured by a door on the house side, and a fence on the outside. <br><br>The pool area offers a beautiful wooden terrace with furniture for aperitifs under the shade veil. A 90m2 beach in Pompignan stones surrounds the pool, with a large number of deckchairs, parasols, chairs, outdoor games etc. The pool is "old-fashioned", i.e. it is deep (from 1.2m to 2.5m), small children will not have a foothold.<br><br>A caretaker is on site and maintains the pool on a daily basis. <br><br>The Mas is not air-conditioned of course, but the thickness of the stone walls combined with the application of the right reflexes (namely closing the windows and shutters during the day) will allow you to stay cool naturally and all the rooms are equipped with a fan. <br>It is possible to park a dozen vehicles at the foot of the house. <br>The land is 3 hectares, you are in the middle of 140 hectares of scrubland.<br><br>Many nature activities nearby (Gardon d'Anduze, La Bambouseraie, Vallon Pont d'Arc, Pont du Gard, Grottes de la Cocalière, Trabuc, la Salamandre, canoe trips on the Cèze, the Sautadet waterfalls...) and the proximity of major cities Alès 8 km - Uzès 38km - Nimes 45 km.<br><br>For your shopping, the village of St Julien at the bottom of the path offers small basic shops (2 bakeries, butcher, vegetables, pharmacy, café/tobacconist...), and on the Ales ring road 4km away all the large supermarkets possible.<br><br>Be careful, I remind you that the access road is 2 km long and is not paved, you have to drive slowly and it takes nearly 10 minutes. Sports cars are to be avoided if you care about your rocker panels!! After more than forty years there is only one old Jaguar XJ that has not been able to go all the way, you should not panic either :).
