"We absolutely loved the chateau- it was large with a lovely garden, pool and lots of nice bedrooms.
The chateau was very private and close to a lovely little village and waterfall.
The hosts were very quick and easy to contact.

"Emmanuelle was a great host! We were greeted upon our arrival with a wonderful welcome basket with lots of eggs, tomatoes, wine, etc….Very peaceful countryside setting. Absolutely perfect swimming pool. And in these excessively hot temperatures, the air conditioning was very very welcome! Spacious and comfortable with 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet, calm countryside, setting close to the beautiful little village of Simorre!"

"After many years of renting in France this for 4 adults was the perfect house. Beautiful situation with glorious views. The house was very well equipped and offered excellent accommodation for 4 adults . The two terraces provided sun and shade with the outdoor jacuzzi and shower an added luxury. The village is a perfect location for walks and for visiting Lordes Tarbe Toulouse as well as nearby villages with bars and breadshops. Lovely peaceful location with every comfort the only downside was...

"The outside of the property is lovely. The pool is fabulous with a good seating area, however, we did have to clean the pool ourselves which we've never had to do at any other property we have rented.
The interior of the house is very old and could do with having a thorough clean. There were a lot of cobwebs and some of the kitchen utensils weren't very clean. There was also a smell of soot in the lounge which exacerbated my daughters asthma so we chose not to use that room. Part of the house...

Really comfy beds and lovely bedding and everything spotlessly clean. Lots of helpful information supplied about what to do in the area and further afield. We enjoyed walking to the village shop in the morning for our bread and croissants! Thank you Julia- we hope to be back another time! "

"It was very hot when we visited so the very well equipped and cool sitting room (plus an excellent pool) was most welcome. Nice touches throughout eg providing shower gel, shampoo etc and large pool towels which is not a common occurrence. Area is very quiet and peaceful - bucolic probably sums it up. "This is a lovely base from which to explore the Pyrenees (around 1/2 hour to 1 hour’s drive). The owners are very friendly and helpful. We had a very mellow time sitting on the patio watching the cows and the stars!"

"We had a lovely stay at Luke’s house for a family celebration. Luke was very responsive and easy to communicate with, which made everything smooth from start to finish. On arrival, Hélène, the housekeeper, gave us a warm welcome and showed us around the property, which was much appreciated.The house itself is spacious, comfortable, and set in a lovely rural location. It has plenty of great amenities – the playroom, ping pong, and go-kart were big hits with the kids – and lots of room for everyone to relax and spend time together.Overall, it was a great place for our family gathering."

"A very well-appointed property which catered very well for our extended family of 9, ages ranging from 1 to 75. There was ample space for us not to be under each others' feet and enough bathrooms for each family (and a teenage granddaughter!). The outdoor facilities were excellent including the summer kitchen/ barbecue area, the variety of games equipment and (especially) the fabulous swimming pool.There is ample shade around the property for those extremely hot southern French days.Access to the mountains is very easy and they can be seen clearly from the surrounding area.The hosts, Mary-Jo and John are excellent and helpful without being intrusive.As a very rural area car is, of course essential, and shops are a 1- - 15 minute drive away; the baker in St Marcet is, however, worth the morning drive for excellent bread and pastries!.We strongly recommend Chateau Floran"

We were there for a wedding at another location with 30 guests from the United States. We decided to skip a dinner with the group and had Clement, the host, cook for us!! Being a chef myself for 30+ years, what an INCREDIBLE experience!!! ALL fresh from local farms within 3 miles!!! Alfresco dinning by the pool!!!
I won't give it 5 stars. I WILL, however give it ALL the stars in the universe!!
