The house is well appointed, extremely comfortable and the delightful owner lives next door and made us feel very welcome. No internet connection and having to hire bed linen at an extra cost is unusual in my experience of using VRBO across Europe but nevertheless this is a perfect house to stay in to explore the real beauty of the Loire Valley. "The property was very clean and in a lovely location- just a walk into the town of Amboise. The property was well equipped with towels, cleaning supplies etc. We also enjoyed the pool.However access was a bit of an issue as the host did not respond to my messages regarding the entrance of the gîte. This was quite stressful as we were unsure as to which property was the correct one. However after we worked this out, the stay was very pleasant and we had a lovely holiday!"

"The staff went out of their way to be helpful! It was a school holiday, so Taxi’s were hard to get. We walked to the hotel from the Train Station across the river. When we discovered that the hotel restaurant was booked & we would have to walk to another one, the front desk clerk actually got his car & drove us there! We very much appreciated this. This hotel is within close walking distance of 2 castles & a beautiful shopping area. The food was excellent, the hotel very comfortable & the staff were more than welcoming."
