"Well equipped beautiful cottage in the Loire countryside. Very Clean. Owners are very welcoming and friendly and have a vineyard 1/2 an hour away - worth the trip and the tasting. The house is close to Saumur which is lovely and has lots to see and do, including nice restaurants and is well located for visiting some famous historical sites like Chinon and Fontavraud Abbey. a very relaxing break."

"Location, location, location! Very old part of the city and some areas around are not in good shape! The apartment does not have internet but is otherwise well equipped. The view of the Loire out the front windows is lovely. Nice to watch the boats go by. If elderly with lots of luggage, this apartment is not for you! Very old narrow winding staircase to the apartment on the top floor! The proprietor is lovely and very helpful!!!"

"We were grateful that Mrs.Rimsky allowed us to stay in her place with our dogs.We appreciated the enclosed garden. A few details in the description of the place seem wrong or misleading: description says "you can park your car on the property ".We were only permitted to pack and unpack our car and were then asked to leave the car on the road in front of our place.The road in front of the place leads to the "centre du village" and has therefor regular traffic. The van of the rubbish collection...

Very comfortable for us and dog friendly

"Very friendly staff and room very clean. Lovely setting with each room having its own terrace. Dog friendly and there is a great public open space on the other side of the road where dogs can be exercised. Unfortunately we could not use the restaurant because a wedding party was using it. However good restaurants nearby and good room service meant this did not detract too much."

5 Star Stay in Hotel de Ffance

"We first stayed at this hotel in 1986 and gave re-visited several times since. The location is fantastic right in the centre and beside the public car park and lift up to the chateau. The hotel has been renovated and extended over the years and is now even has a roof terrace for chilling out in after a days touring/cycling. The owners have changed over the years and the current owners, Romain & Romain, are wonderful friendly hosts, as are the rest of the hotel staff, We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again. "
