Soothing preserved setting of gentle mountains, nestled in the countryside, in the hollow of a valley of bocage meadows (welcome in season the peaceful Charolais cows) under the wooded ridges of a vast wild forest massif. Total tranquility, magnificent panoramas & surrounding landscapes, a stone's throw from a bucolic 10 hectare lake designed for swimming (fishing & pedal boat rental possible) as well as from the center of Saint-Point, a picturesque little perfectly preserved village, renowned for sheltering the tomb & the family castle steeped in great history of Alphonse de Lamartine (Victor Hugo, Charles Nodier or Franz Liszt stayed there), famous French romantic politician, poet & writer. Very comfortable cottage.
