"Hotel is 25 min drive to Amboise. The hotel does have restaurant but very limited seating and for dinner , we found that the restaurants in Amboise were great but you do need a car. Hotel is on a manual accounting system so errors did occur on the bill. Management is unwilling to make any adjustments after you leave property so need to check the invoice closely. "

"We cannot fault our stay. Arrived late but Pascale had rustled up a 3 course meal for us….! Really friendly, beautiful setting, quiet. Very comfortable bed, great breakfast (as you would expect from a pastry chef). You eat at a table with the other guests in our case from Belgium and the Netherlands and much laughter was had alongside several different languages! "A beautiful house, full of charm and character, and fantastic grounds to explore. Wonderful views over the village and an idyllic, secluded and private setting; even nicer than it looks in the photos! Lovely swimming pool and seating area around it. Very easy walk into the village to visit the boulangerie. Michel was extremely helpful with all questions, and we had a lovely welcome from the property manager. We had two lovely weeks with our young children here and would highly recommend this house for families. "

"Lovely spacious house in the grounds of the chateaux surrounded by fields and woodland. The house is well appointed, extremely comfortable and the delightful owner lives next door and made us feel very welcome. No internet connection and having to hire bed linen at an extra cost is unusual in my experience of using VRBO across Europe but nevertheless this is a perfect house to stay in to explore the real beauty of the Loire Valley. And the exquisite boulangerie and patisserie a few minutes walk away in the village is a real treat! "

Roc was welcoming, gave us access to his family home and gardens, and an excellent restaurant recommendation in a nearby town. He even called to make a reservation for us. "
