"The place was clean and felt very cosy. It was clearly newly refurbished and was clean. The beds were not too great though. In one of the bedrooms the wooden boards under the mattress were loose and had to put back in place. That is when it became clear they had better all be replaced. The sheets were made of synthetic fibers instead of cotton. And the place is above a fish shop. The owners have done all they can to repel the smell, but there is no escaping it when you enter. It was also difficult to walk up the four flights of stairs, but that’s not the owner’s fault. The location was ok, if you don’t mind being away from the old city. "Overall the apartment was clean and accessible. It is a renovated old home/apartment so the beams upstairs with the bedrooms are low and you need to watch your head. It was a little difficult to find with the address but the clear pictures helped. Could walk to downtown Troyes easily. Comfortable with a family."
