"The breakfast was a nice addition. Always with scrambled eggs, meats either bacon or sausage and potatoes for the hot offerings and cold like pancakes, bagels, hot oatmeal, cereal, then for drinks coffee, tea, juices. Really a nice array of choices for the prize. Will stay again."

"Miles was our valet when we arrived and he was amazing! Room was clean, beds were comfy. We ate at the Tavern, service and food were excellent! Walking distance to everything. Thank you and your staff for excellent service!!"

"I do not recommend this place to stay even traveling alone. Mold in restroom. Leftover ice cream in freezer. Microwave rusted inside (that was a WOW!!!) dirty linens and blood stains. "

"The history makes this charming hotel all the better and staff is very friendly. If driving and dropping off luggage it can be a little tricky finding the drop off point. Seek parking on the street in paid parking and download the parking app. It will save a ton of parking money! "

"The staff was pleasant and helpful. This property is located in what can only be described as an isolated area. When you walk from the hotel towards the downtown, there are very few people on the street, and the ones that are there are homeless, or drugged out/mentally ill people, so it seems unsafe. Separately, in terms of the room, I stayed in a double. The bed was comfortable and the pillows and linens were fine. It was nice to have a small refrigerator in the room as well; these were appreciated amenities. The bathroom however was sub-par. The soap dish was chipped, which should have been replaced. The bathtub lining was also chipped up, and the shampoo dispenser was leaking shampoo into the bathtub everyday, so creating a slippery hazard when you turned on the shower. There was no floor mat provided. The walls of the room were badly scuffed up. Instead of carpeting, the hotel has installed fake "wood" and the floors felt gritty to walk on when I was barefoot. The window shade was ripped. These are small things, but they add up to create a poor impression. Even in the elevator, no one was wiping it down it was covered with fingerprints and smears, which gives the impression that it's dirty. Finally, I would definitely avoid "The Gavel" which is the onsite restaurant/bar. The food was truly terrible, although the staff goes out of their way to be extremely helpful to guests and super polite. I would not recommend this property."

"Parking lot is small (had for two cars to drive at once) and was hard to find the entrance. The room when I got in was very hot and the door was ver hard to close. "

"Hotel had an odor when first walking in like something died in the walls. Room was in disrepair electrical outlets hanging out ceiling crumbling. No maid service daily nothing. No continental breakfast no morning coffee nothing. I tried to find another hotel but at time I went everywhere was booked. "
