This was the third parador we stayed at on our trip. The first two were disappointing but Parador de Salamanca restored my faith in the parador brand.
The room, with a panoramic view over the city, was perfect. The outdoor bar and a quality dinner completed the day.
Plenty of car parking space.
We toured northern Spain and stayed at 6 properties. When we pulled into the Parador, I thought I had made a mistake. I tend to be frugal and couldn't believe I got this good a value for the money. A huge relief for us by this time was to simply park the car securely in a large hotel lot. Beware of what other properties call 'parking included'. The million dollar view comes with your stay. It' s a nice walk to the inner city but far enough to be away from any noise.
Fantastic location, stand in reception and the view of the Cathedral is fantastic, bar has balcony again with view of old town, does nice snacks and lunch menu, 20 minute walk to square, breakfast was good with wide selection, good sized car park but by dusk was full with cars double parking, but that may be because there was a free fantastic fireworks display by the Roman Bridge, and a large concert stage with bands playing on successive nights. Safe (ish) parking for motorcycle, but not secure.
So pleased to choose this place for short Salamanca stay. Large comfortable room and super friendly staff. Cathedral view wlpicture perfect and 20 minute stroll to old town. Would i return ? Yes for sure. Most liked ? Parking and View. Anything not to like? Restuarant service somewhat regimental and meal not the best. Regardless enjoyed stay lots, great choice for Salamanca

Wonderful location fabulous views of the Cathedral, easy parking.
Strangely no hot drink making facilities in our room.
Unfortunately the swimming pool was not in use - we may have been to early in the season ( late May)
Breakfast: more coffee machines required or openly offer cafeteria’s at the table.
Utensils at the serving tables rather than bamboo tongs at your table. The food was delicious and staff were lovely.
My favorite part of the hotel was the staff. Excellent customer service, with a special thank you to the bar and dining staff. The night time views from the hotel of Salamanca while having a cocktail are wonderful.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Cleanliness, spacious rooms and a great view.
On the other hand I am not happy with their cancellation policy.
Great stay in superior roon with spectacular view of Salamanca. Spacious room, very good breakfast. It is a 20 min walk to old town. The pool was unfortunately shut for the season.
