"We originally planned to spend our first night in Ronda, but with the Feria in full swing, Saturday night was likely to be lively. With a 6am flight from the UK we decided that relaxation was the priority — and Hacienda Fresneda María delivered exactly that. Set amongst beautiful olive groves with wonderful countryside views, the Hacienda is a wonderfully peaceful retreat. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and welcoming, even arranging an early check-in at 1pm so we could make the most of our short stay. Our room was beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the olive grove. It was also wonderfully quiet — exactly what we needed before an early start the next morning. Food was another highlight. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch & dinner during our stay, all featuring excellent-quality, locally sourced produce. Everything was beautifully prepared and thoroughly enjoyable. The outdoor area, with its small swimming pool, provided the perfect place to relax & unwind in the sunshine. It really is a setting where you can slow down and simply enjoy the surroundings. Although we stayed for just one night en route to Córdoba, we were left wishing we had booked longer. Hacienda Fresneda María would make an excellent base for exploring the beautiful Pueblos Blancos of Andalusia, as well as the surrounding area. A peaceful, charming and highly recommended alternative to staying in busy Ronda."

Great stay, would happily go back and enjoy the tranquil surroundings."

From the moment we arrived, we were less like guests and more like friends. Warmth, genuine hospitality and passion for both the guesthouse and the beautiful village of Cómpeta shine through in everything. The guesthouse itself is stunning. Beautifully restored, immaculately clean and thoughtfully designed, it perfectly blends traditional Andalusian charm with modern comfort. Every detail has clearly been considered. The rooms are peaceful, the communal spaces are welcoming and the rooftop terrace is the perfect place to unwind and take in the atmosphere of this incredible white village. What really made our stay special wasn’t just the accommodation, it was the feeling. It felt calm, authentic and refreshingly personal. In a world of chain hotels and impersonal check-ins, La Tienda Nueva reminds you what hospitality is supposed to be. Cómpeta is a magical place in its own right, with its winding streets, friendly locals and breathtaking mountain scenery, and La Tienda Nueva is the perfect base from which to experience it.
