North Keowee Family Lake House on Private Cove With Dock / 5 MIN FROM JOCASSEE

Get the family and friends together for memories at the lake! This waterfront lake house with private dock has plenty of outdoor living space and is nestled at the end of a quiet cove. You can let the kids swim and explore on paddle board / kayaks without worrying about boat traffic, or go for an adventure yourself! Two (2) kayaks, two (2) paddleboards and an assortment of life jackets are provided at no additional charge. There are lots of great hiking trails in the area (even if the water is too cold to swim) and the leaves are spectacular in autumn.

The location of this home and dock are ON Lake Keowee, but only a 5 minute drive from Lake Jocassee and Devil’s Fork State Park. Enjoy a quiet morning cup of coffee or peaceful sunset from the large screened porch or lower deck overlooking the lake and cove. There is a path with ~40 steps down to the lower deck shown in the photos.

Winter guests enjoy the wood burning stove after a hike on one of the local trails and the outdoor fire pit is a great spot to catch up with family members. During the Spring and Fall the fire pit is home of the storyteller and s'mores!

Hidden Gem

This place was perfect for our long weekend Spring Break with our daughter and her friend. Plenty of space to spread out. The paddle boards and private dock were well used. We did a boat tour of Jocassee out of Devils Fork State Park which was less than 10 minutes away. We enjoyed the quiet, away from our usual city sounds. We would recommend this place for sure!

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was perfect for a multi-family trip with my in-laws. We mostly swam off the dock, which was perfect. The lake was cool, clear, and peaceful. This was an awesome stay!

Beautiful lake house

The property and the view was absolutely beautiful. Easy access to the neighborhood boat ramp.Communication with the host was very easy and professional. Plenty of space inside and outside of the property .

Perfect lake retreat!

The view was spectacular. The huge porch made it all the more comfortable. The house had all the amenities as promised. We enjoyed kayaking, fishing, swimming and just relaxing. Really a great place for family fun.

Lovely family cottage on gorgeous water

We had such a lovely time staying at this property with multi generations for family reunion. Very comfortable to spread out in multiple living areas both indoors and out. Wonderfully stocked with all we could possibly need. We highly recommend this spectacular home!

Great place. Lots of spaces to visit, play games, and watch the game. Beautiful lake. The stairs to the lake were challenging to older persons. The kitchen is well stocked for large groups

We had the best time staying at this property. It was everything and more than what we were expecting. Communication was great and oweners were readily available for any question. 5 star rating! Close to Lake Jocassee, but even if you choose to stay put your kids will have a blast in the private cive.We are looking for this home for next years vacation!

Easter weekend

We had a wonderful weekend at the lake. The house is great with plenty of room. The kitchen is alitlle tight but doable. The walk down the steep hill to the lake is challenging but worth it! Private cove! We rented a great pontoon and enjoyed touring the lake. Such a beautiful weekend and just what was needed! Would stay again!

The best day of my life!

Dream come true family vacation with my two girls and 8 grandchildren. Lost track of the hugs and “grandma, this is the best day of my life”. House has perfect layout and well equipped with everything you need. Gorgeous setting, quiet cove for swimming, paddle boarding. Eight year old grandson caught 2 1/2 lb catfish from the dock! Going to be talking about this vacation for years to come.

Wonderful place for family visits

We came into town for an aunts celebration of life memorial. Even though this property was a littler further away, I loved the views and booked it anyway. This was fantastic for a small family gathering after the service. We were able to have some of the cousins come for a visit and had plenty of space. We didn't have near as many stay at the house as we had planned, but had plenty of space. The host was fantastic to communicate with. Ohhhh and the waterfalls that was in the neighborhood that we were able to do a short hike to. Absolutely stunning.

Quiet Southern retreat

Property is nestled into beautiful temperate forest overlooking a quiet cove. The house is well maintained and owners extremely helpful. Lots of beds for a big family. Screened back porch is where we stayed at all waking hours and some napping hours too. The path to the lake is graded just right and is a nice short walk to the dock. The stairs, although positioned perfectly, may be hard for older knees. A short wall half way down can be used as a bench because the tranquility of the water is a must to experience. Nice job owners!!

Lake House Magical Oasis

My girlfriends and I were looking for a relaxing getaway in a beautiful, serene location and that's just what we got at Patrick's house. The property was even more beautiful in person than we could have imagined. We enjoyed gorgeous sunsets every evening on the private dock. The house was also gorgeous, with a lot of attention to detail and plenty of hang out spots inside and outside. Patrick was very communicative and even offered to shift our stay while we were trying to figure out how to avoid traveling during a dangerous storm. I highly recommend this property for a group of friends or a family looking to enjoy nature and the comforts of a luxury house. Thanks again for everything!

Gorgeous Property!

I booked this cabin for my wife and I's 15 year anniversary. What a great choice! The view of the lake was beautiful. We stayed in late October and the entire surrounding area was breathtaking. The trees were bright and colorful and the reds and oranges really popped against the blue-green water of the lake. We went kayaking on Lake Jocassee and found a waterfall! We also went hiking to see a second waterfall. The cabin itself was excellent with a screened porch AND a sun room. The primary bed was comfortable and the shower was also nice. We loved building a fire in the fire pit and talking for hours. Pat was communicative and seemed concerned for our comfort during our stay. You can't go wrong renting this one!

Quiet spot but listing updates needed

If you plan on bringing a boat, I would recommend looking for a different property. After booking the house and near check in, we were given instructions not to park by the house with a boat and the driveway is too steep to pull up or turn around with a boat. This created a pretty big hassle for parking and using the boat, unloading things from the truck, and then going to retrieve the boat which had to be parked a good distance away from the house. We also had issues with the AC turning back up to 75 each night after turning it to 72 to sleep. We woke up hot a few times and the AC had reset to its scheduled temp. On the plus side, it's a quiet location and the house has ample room to spread out and enjoy Lake Keowee.

Our first vacation at Lake Keowee but will not be our last!

We had our entire family of 7 grandchildren, 3 daughters and spouses and my husband and myself. This house was a great fit for us. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 baths on the first floor for those of us who can't climb stairs. The other 3 bedrooms are on the 2nd floor but only one bath. But we overcame that. We loved the sun porch, we enjoyed the screened porch and we cooked on the gas grill on the deck. Our kids loved the water! We rented a pontoon and enjoyed pulling kids (both little and big!) on floats. There were life preservers of all sizes for us to use at the house. There were 2 kayaks, a paddle board and paddles which could be used at no charge. The scenery around the lake is beautiful! If I could make one change in the property, it would be to somehow make the climb from the lake to the house a little gentler for us old folks! The house is lovely and supplied everything we needed. The owner was quick to respond to our questions. We thank the Tramontes for sharing their wonderful home with us. And another family vacation is in the books!
