The space
This rural property is best for couples who enjoy outdoor recreation, sitting looking at the views and plan to visit local events - or family in the area. WIFI, smart TV and hot water included. Guests may opt for eating in using the included fully equipped kitchen where they will find coffee provided to start their day, or choose to dine out at one of the many local restaurants. To end each day, the views of the 14K foot mountains to the west are spectacular in the evening and encourage relaxing on the deck as the sun sets. The property location is rural with easy access, but a short drive to either town of Salida or Buena Vista, as well as local attractions such as mining ghost towns, Monarch Ski Area and hot springs in the area.

Guest access
Guests have the privacy of the entire guest cottage and are able to walk, hike or bike over the 35 acres plus the adjacent BLM land to the east to the Arkansas River and Nat’l Monument 1.5 miles. Or drive down to Hecla Junction in 10 minutes. The Colorado and Continental Trails and three hot springs are all 15 minutes drive.

Other things to note
The home and grounds are NON-SMOKING, and NO PETS allowed: Basically built for two adults. NO children under 12 years. A third person will incur an additional fee of $30 per night. The extra bed being a convertible ottoman.
Guest access
Parking is right up close to the cottage. You may walk around the property. For provisions or dinner, driving will be necessary to one of our local towns as this is remote setting.

Grill for outdoor cooking, bring own charcoal. Telescope for star gazing.
