Located on the property is a private boat launch to Black Lake for access to great fishing. Provided for your relaxation is a wood fire pit and charcoal grill over looking the lake, ideal for grilling and lounging. Or don’t cook and enjoy the renowned restaurant, Lakewood Inn, located just 0.3 miles from the house. Located on the property for your outside enjoyment is a private basketball court, horse shoes, and lake access for lake fishing. We had a beautiful time here with our parents during our Holiday time off. The house was sweet and cozy, love the attention to detail with the decor. It was very homey. It was so quiet and peaceful, nice place to relax and restore.

Natchitoches Surprise

The town is adorable, many restaurants, shops, and things to do. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Next time we will stay in town, but this property was nice and we felt right at home.

Great stay on beautiful property

This was one of my favorite stays in Louisiana - the house was so roomy and comfortable. Had everything and was decorated so beautifully for the Christmas holidays! The property was just lovely with a gorgeous view of the Cypress trees in the lake out back. Can't wait to come back!

Sweet property and beautiful location

Eric was a responsive host, helping us in locating the property and replying quickly to our questions. The house was very clean and decorated for the season. We appreciated especially the kind note from the owner and recommendation for the nearby restaurant.

This home was more than I expected from the pictures. It was very clean, decorated too cute and stocked with anything we might have needed. The host was patient with me when I had questions (not because he didn't provide information, but because I didn't read what he gave me). You may be a little drive from downtown Nak-a-tish, but worth it. It was peaceful and quiet. Plan to bring my "Steel Magnolia" girlfriends to stay here.

Three Grandmothers Getaway Wkend

A lovely place, nestled under beautiful spanish moss filled trees. Very peaceful and quiet. It is a good 20 minute drive from town and hidden back off the main road. I’m glad we arrived before dark so we could familiarize ourselves with our surroundings. The Lakeview Inn restaurant was a good place to eat and conveniently located less than a 1/4 mile from the house. The host was very responsive.

Lake View

The space was amazing—clean, quiet and peaceful. Tucked away from the main road, but not too far. A few miles from Natchitoches, but not a straight shot. Definitely would make a day trip there as opposed to a night trip. Great communication from host! If you want to “unplug” and enjoy peace and quiet, this is the place.

Peaceful house on Black Lake

The house was very comfortable and well decorated. It had everything we needed. Eric even supplied a new blender when we said we needed one. The view was wonderful. I understood there was a king size bed in the master bedroom. It seemed to be a queen. The page on the VRBO was no longer available to verify the bed size. Overall it was a very nice and peaceful property. It was farther away from Natchitoches than expected and was a very hard drive into the city over old roads.

Beautiful county setting But

The house is clean and has most things needed for a comfortable stay. Except for ice and large coffee mugs. But it feels like the owner still lives there. Personal pictures everywhere, clothes in the closets, food in the frig and freezer. And prescription meds in the kitchen cabinets. The house is located in a very remote area and was probably not the best location for 2 70 + single ladies. And there is no WIFI, and cell service was very limited.

If you want a wonderful and immaculate place to relax. THIS IS IT! Host was very responsive to any questions and gave perfect restaurant recommendations. Quiet and peaceful, every evening a visit from deer. This is possibly the best property we have rented on VRBO and we have rented many. I know it was the cleanest. It is about 20 minutes out of town but there is a gas station and a dollar general nearby for any immediate needs. If you ask me it was a perfect distance. Thank you to the owners for sharing this beautiful property.

A place of peace and calm. The house is wonderfully decorated, very comfortable beds. The bedrooms are on opposite ends of the home with it's own private bathroom. House is located near the Black Lake which is gorgeous to view and easy to bank fish. We had a wonderful stay.Quick communication response with the owner.
