If you dont have a car....
Nothing to rave about, it's a place to lay your head for the night. However, if you don't have a car I reccomend staying in Salisbury. The cab service is a lot better and there is more to do than Amesbury. It's in the country with nothing around. Taxi fare to Stonehenge was 30 gbps each way. Checkin os at 5 pm and checkout is at 10M. Bathrooms and beds were clean, bedrooms could use a facelift, and comman areas were kept okay. The restaurant next door didnt serve breakfast until 0830 even though the signs and menu stated otherwise. Food was good nonetheless. Was charged 20% gratuity, highest charge since in the uk.

If you don't mind very basic accomodations, this place should be fine. Bring your own towels and soap.

Unique garden and orchard, farm for kids with a lot of spots to play and feeding animals, we spent 3 hours with my 3 kids after sleepover. I missed bigger mirror and some place or woodrop to hang clothes

The property is very secluded which is perfect if you are looking for a break from the city. However, I do not recommend staying here if you do not have access to a car. It takes around 25 minutes to arrive in Salisbury and 15 minutes to visit Stonehenge. The hostel gives you access to the farm next door which is worth your time to visit.

I never thought of staying at a hostel before when travelling with my son but this one was so close to Stonehenge I thought i’d give it a try for one night. It occurred to be such a great place. My son loved the farm 🙂 and the place was very clean with great facilities. I would definitely stay there again! Highly recommended.

The Youth Hostel is on a working farm. The location is great as it about 10-15 minutes drive to Stonehenge and close to Salisbury. We got up early to go to Stonehenge, before all the crowds and buses arrived from London. This is a good adventure of staying Hostel - as there are few and far hotels near Stonehenge. Woodhenge and Old Sarum are also close by to the Youth Hostel. The rooms and bathroom were simple, spacious and clean. There was a very comfortable common areas with TV and sofas. The communal kitchen had all the cooking appliances and basic cooking utensils to make a meal. There were two refrigerators for guests to store their food. Internet was very good. The Hostel also had a small cafe for guests - and for 6 pounds the hostel would provide a hearty English Breakfast, which included delicious eggs, ham/bacon, sausage, beans, tomatoes and toasts. When we drove up late at night, we thought the parking lot was small. Yet, there was plenty of parking in the back. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Could have used soap
The inn was an interesting place, out of the way, with nice staff with lots of helpful information. There was, however, some issues with cleanliness. Dining table surfaces had plenty of crumbs and smears. Most concerning was the lack of hand soap in any toilet. I found some dish soap for kitchen use and put a cup of it in bathroom. It was removed. Not even the toilets near the dining room had soap. As I did not see staff or guests carrying soap with them, I can only surmise that people just did not properly wash their hands after using the toilet. This is definitely unhygienic, and probably against public health rules. Potential visitors should be advised that they will need a car or a taxi to stay at this inn. It is not in Amesbury or Salisbury, and, though it has the words “stone henge” in the title, it’s not very near that, either. But, if you want to be out of the city, enjoy the garden, birds and animals, you’ll get clean sheets and a comfortable space here. Just bring your own soap when using the toilet.

Nice hostel, very clean and a lot of fun for the kids. They have pigs, a peacock, an adorable bull, goats. They have trampolines and a beautiful rose garden. Don’t expect plush pillows or memory foam mattress but rooms are simple and clean. Great common room, kitchen and restaurant area. Would come back, especially because the kids loved it!

Perfectly acceptable youth hostel. WiFi in the rooms wasn't great and someone stole my milk, haha. Otherwise really can't complain. Friendly staff, bunk beds okay, decent communal spaces and showering facilities. Nice that it's attached to the farm, though because I've been working I haven't had a chance to look around.

A good value stay at a nice hostel. Staff are always friendly, and plenty of cooking facilities to cook and store your own food. Rooms are clean, and set in a nice countryside location. Stayed here before and would certainly return if looking to stay in the area.

Great Location next to farm and wineary.
Great staff! Good facilities in kitchen and lovely conservatory for meal times. I took children aged 12 and 7. They loved the woodland area at back of hostel, tree top walk and the table tennis. Great family hostel. We stayed in room s3. Mattresses need renewing they have very little padding on and the room could do with a table or sideboard. We had a great time visiting Bath, Bristol and stone henge. Would recommend but take sleeping bags for extra mattress padding.

Another nice stay
The thing that makes this hostel a nice place to stay is the staff. Mark and the other members of the team are so friendly and accommodating. There are certain things that could do with a bit of attention (a coat of paint in certain places and the showers need updating) but on the whole the hostel has a lovely relaxed environment and feels very spacious. I will be back again if I am down that way again.

Brilliant stay, staff are friendly. The place is cheap for what you get, the kids loved the free access to the farm. The tree top walk is a brilliant experience too. It really is a home from home, I've stayed there a few times now and I would definitely recommend it to family and friends!

Cute hostel close to Stonehenge
It's a gorgeous building with nice social facilities (welcoming living room and dining areas), with fairly basic hostel-style rooms. The shared bathrooms are big and clean. I'd definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone visiting Stonehenge especially!
