"Great breakfast, lovely comfortable bed gear hotel"

"2 day midweek break. Found that the hotel could do with a bit of a refresh in the room corridors. We were on the ground floor and carpet leading from reception to the rooms was dirty and wasn't vacuumed when we were there. Faciltiies were good and breakfast was good also. Room was clean but shower needs attention. Putting a large monsoon head on a shower looks good, but when it wwas turned on the water driible out of it and leaked all around the shower head itself. We had to use the hand held shower head which was smaller and as a result much better pressure. Enjoyed our stay and will stay there again for it's very central location."

"We stayed for a short trip to Wexford to do some business that coincided with our anniversary. The hotel kindly put a fridge in our room that I needed for some medication, and in the message via the Hotels.com portal I mentioned that we were looking forward to staying for our anniversary. Imagine our surprise when we arrived to discover that the Whitford team had upgraded our room and put a wonderful dessert dish with the message 'happy anniversary' written in chocolate. The team went out of their way for everything, the Wexford people are so lovely, which carries through to all the staff we encountered. I remember coming here when I was a small child and so lovely to see that the hotel has grown to the wonderful establishment that is here today, without losing any of the charm. The hotel is in a prime spot for going into town, or further afield for sightseeing. After staying in several different hotels when we visit Wexford to 'try them out' - We will definitely be back to this one!"

"Easy fast check in. Units surround the courtyard carpark behind the pub. Given keys and pop the keys in the letterboxes when leaving in the morning. There’s a selection of restaurants in town but I nipped to the takeaway just down the road which was excellent. "

"We really enjoyed every aspect of our stsy except for the beds. The beds were not good at all. The bed in the room we stayed in was broken. The 2 pieces of the base were not connected as the mechanism that is supposed to connect them was broken. We had free use of the gym which we used every evening for the duration of our stay. I'd rate the newtown park 7 outif 10. The only thing that lets them down was the beds. "
