I really enjoyed my time at Stella Maria. Good vibe with decent food options and buffet. Slight downside was the bathroom was a little dirty. Hair dryer had dust and hair on it, and some other spots around the bathroom. But honestly, that's a small complaint. The resort felt very safe and the staff all had sparkling personalities and were very helpful and kind to an english only speaker. One small thing I will bring up is that the place is sort of loud. Not a complaint so much as just a warning for people who want to relax and read by the pool. They always have loud music playing over the PA by the pool, so if you like naps and quiet that might be something to consider. Orhwrwise very good.

This property is located in a secluded area of the Stella Maris beach where walking is not really ideal especially if you are alone. The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive. Although I chose the “luxury” room, the bedroom was very modest but offered a very comfortable bed. The bathroom could use some renovation as there was noticeable mold and the sink seemed clogged. The A/C worked great but leaked so much - I had to place a towel on the floor. The amenities were great, offered daily activities to kids and adults . “Tia Nutella” was super at entertainment and the pool was beautiful! I would stay again but wouldn’t pay the “extra” for the luxury room.

They had kids activities with monitors all day everyday and it was amazing. The pool and all the kids things were amazing. The little side barracas with food were a hit and the kids loved it.

It is my first time to give a unpleasant comment to any of the hotels I stayed before… the hotel room is super old… and the pillow cover is not so clean, even yellow… and the beds, table are full of small ants…and one thing really don't understand, when I arrived in the hotel, they asked you to do a online precheck-in, normally the precheck supposed to help you save time, but here and it is the only hotel after the precheck you still need to be in line for another normal check in, and they asked you again fpr everything… so what is the point?

Nope nope nope. Just book somewhere else. It was like arriving to a government department where you need to take a numbered ticket and wait an hour to be able to approach the front desk. Trust me, this is not a “resort experience”. You can get a much nicer experience for a cheaper price elsewhere. The rooms are so old they are falling apart. The only nice thing was the view.

This is one of those properties that looks like it “used to be great.” It was ok, but quite old. The tile in our room was either moldy or old and chipping out- not really sure, but it did not appear clean. Paint job was sloppy in the room. No USB ports in the room for charging phones. It was adequate, but not what we had hoped for.

there are no preventative maintenance on the room. the toilet didn’t flush properly. the maintenance person tried to fix the problem for several times during my stay. the sink was clogged. it was not releasing water properly

Facility is big but nicely laid out, clean room and great staff. Swimming pool water temperature got very high, they really should invest in water cooling system because the beach is not that great with rocky bottom.
