"We met up with our daughters as we all live in different states. This cottage had everything we needed for a quick long weekend trip. We arrived ahead of our girls. There were beach chairs, kayak and all the items that we didn’t have to bring. Retail and restaurant’s are in walking distance. There is a bar/ restaurant across the street. You do not hear the outside noise from within the house. We had a wonderful time in a lovely home."

"We thought this home on Avon was the perfect spot for our family; just a short walk over the Dunes to the ocean and a not too busy beach. We walked to the Avon Fishing Pier, souvenir, coffee and ice cream shops and restaurants. The area and beach felt safe and it was very clean. There is a mix of rentals and homeowners in the immediate neighborhood. We were pleasantly surprised that the cottage seemed larger and more open than the online photos. "The house & location were great. I wish there had been a few more simple amenities-sponge, salt & pepper, tin foil, etc. Our only complaint was we were notified that within an hour we had to get home to get our dog bcuz pest control was coming. So we had to cancel reservations for an excursion to get home without any prior notice. Also, the AC broke, so first we sweat & then we couldnt go anywhere so that they could come work on it for 2 days. Obviously, not their fault, but we lost vacation...

"The house is advertised as the best handicapped house in the OBX. We concur this is absolutely correct. The ramp up to the main living floor was very convenient for unloading your vehicle. Everything on the main living floor was accessible including the dock. The location is next to Hatteras Watersports where jet skis and kayaks were available for rent - very convenient! The owners were very responsive to any needs/concerns. For sure, the house rates a 5 star! We look forward to going back!"
