The maneger is very nice person. This hotel is too filthy to call itself a hotel, I found few urine drops on the toilet, the room stinks, and I figured this is genuine Uzubekistan experience. This hotel is recommended for those who seek unique experience. I had to change hotel even though I had already paid for this place at $140 for two nights because I was not looking for those kind of experience.

Colibri Traditional Hotel

After ringing the front door bell more or less constantly for 20 min., I decided to try the shops and residential buildings in the area instead, and after 20-25 min. I managed to find a youth who knew the owner and he managed to get hold of a member of the staff at the hostel. The staff were friendly, but were no always present at the hostel during my stay. I was also bothered by the stale air in the dorm.

Colibri exceeded our expectations! Everything was great at this Guest House. It's clean, quiet, and surrounded by many restaurants, mini markets. Easy access to many attractions. Abduaziz runs the place with his father. He was fantastic. Great attitude, extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful, and always available. He speaks fluent English and suggested many fun activities for us. The host has a beautiful big family. We got to eat fresh cooked breakfasts right out of their kitchen every morning in the beautiful yard under cherry trees, persimmon trees and grape vines. We were lucky enough to eat the fresh grapes :) Also a cat and her two kittens were playing in the yard. Colibri also offer pick-ups/drop-offs to the airport or train station with very reasonable price. I highly recommend this place!
