The place was extremely old. Private room was not even worth $10. Dirty and misrepresent by pictures. Worst part BIG MOLD on the wall. It was only a bed in a space . Do not stay there at any cost.
The pictures on the website are out dated. It doesn't look at all as advertised. It's not the prettiest nor the ugliest but could be better.
We arrived at 1:10pm and requested for an early check in (i've had it with other hostels and hotels and no problem). They said mandatory at 2pm. The girls at the reception could be nicer. We went back at 2pm and it took them 30minutes for the check in, the room was clearly ready when we got there. Keeping this in mind, we didn’t get the towels by the check in, so much for waiting without towels.
The private room is spacious, the A/C works perfectly, the bathroom doesnt have hot water(at night the water is freezing!).
The breakfast would be a 4/10, coffee as bad as it could be. Not even free water by breakfast. For breakfast included you have to go EVERY morning downstairs to get a ticket. Maybe you could give a card or something to not make us go down.
We got back from the beach at sunset and waited 5minutes for the door to open because the receptionist was talking with some people.
Location is perfect, you have the pier by the army less than 5min walking, the malecon 8minutes walking.
With some upgrades the hostel could be way more.
The hostel is located in a great location. You can walk to the beach, downtown, and to the main shopping area. I was most impressed by how clean this place was! Andrea in particular went above and beyond to help guests and spoke great english!
Location is good! Breakfast is awesome! There’s always something going on at the bar! The rooms are pretty spacious but no hot water for the showers and the plumbing of the building kind of sucks. Also the WiFi is horrible but I think it’s like that on the whole island
