The man at the check-in counter was unfriendly. The street light outside our room was flickering and the shutters didn't completely block them out. Riverwalk Plaza
Easy check in, staff very helpful, room was clean, beds very comfortable. We had a balcony and view of the river. We love that it is an easy walk to the Riverwalk.

Menger Hotel
This is a nice older hotel and it's right in the middle of downtown San Antonio. My one warning would be beware of the parking fees. If you are driving a car, this hotel will cost you an extra $50/day for parking. It's Valet only, so you can also add that to your total.
