Hill Country Getaway

Our 2nd time to stay at the Guthrie cabin and it was wonderful! We had a great time relaxing and recharging. This place is an awesome retreat! We look forward to visiting again!

Great host, 2nd stay

Donna and Rob was a wonderful host they were present even for a late check in at 8 PM. The cabin was cozy, clean and well maintained. We had an next day with the AC, Rob stayed back and fixed the issue at night 11 o’clock, Donna was quite gracious and getting us some pizza for the evening and even delivering right to the cottage. Highly recommend this place.

Hill country get away.

The location and property are great. The best place we have ever stayed at in the Hill country. Donna and Rob were super. My only complaint was with Verbo. They suck dealing with.

Fabulous place to stay! Off the beaten path but close enough to get anywhere you want. Very clean, quaint cabin. Hosts were fabulous. Available for anything we needed but not at all intrusive. Beautiful property. Thank you for having us!

The owners met us at check-in and showed us all the properties assets which were numerous!! Super clean, well stocked. Breakfast was in the frig. We’ve stayed at many VRBO properties and never seen that. This is a perfect hill country hideaway.

Beautiful cabin in a lovely valley

We had a great time staying in the beautifully decorated and comfortable cabin. Donna and Rob are the most accommodating hosts I have ever experienced. Having Breakfast foods already in the fridge was so helpful! I think my fur baby had the best time though watching all the deer. The hummingbird feeder near the porch where we enjoyed our morning coffee was a plus too! Highly recommended this rental if ever in the area and need a place to stay!!

Great Property

We loved our stay here. Except for a blip in getting through the front gate with the code everything was a breeze. The cabin is well equipped; breakfast is provided (so thoughtful); and the beds and linens are luxurious. The only thing we missed having is a fireplace, but the cabin is so cozy it wasn’t a big deal. Owners live on the property but there is still privacy and the area is so quiet. Owners are friendly. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful setting, no noise, no traffic, total relaxation. If you think you may have forgotten something they are way ahead of you. Drawers are stocked !! Coffee on the porch with the deer almost joining you. Thanks guys for a wonderful stay.

So relaxing!

This place was so relaxing which is what we came to do after a hard year of work. Such a comfortable bed so we had great sleep each night. Watched the deer and the hummingbirds. Watched my doxie run free with no leash as it’s all fenced in. Practically lived on the front porch. It was what my husband and I needed very badly. Wish we could have stayed longer! Aiming to be back soon!

Nice, quiet get a way cabin in the hill country

The property was very clean and easy to locate. It is located about half way between Boerne, TX and Bulverde, TX. Property owners were very accommodating. The only real issue we had was with the TV. Internet worked well. However, the live streaming on the TV was very slow and frustrating. I told the owner of this and she said they plan on replacing the TV. Watched deer roaming the property each day!

Relaxation in Hill Country

From our arrival to our departure, everything was wonderful. Donna and Rob made us feel at home immediately. Coffee, eggs, bacon, O.J. cereal, milk and cream, all waiting for us so that we didn't even have to rush out to a grocery store until the next day. Even a few Hershey chocolates made the end of the day so special!! Would highly recommend this as a go to place for anyone wanting to be at a central location to visit Hill Country, San Antonio, Bulverde, and Fredericksburg, without having to drive more than 1/2 to 3/4 of an hr. Sitting outside watching all the deer, hummingbirds peace and quiet and more stars than you could ever imagine. This should be your first choice to visit Hill Country.
