Continental breakfast was only bagels, coffee, and juice. I feel this was misleading as I would have made a selection with better breakfast options. Pool was fun for the kids. Staff were helpful. Tons of construction in the area made it difficult at times to get in and out. It is very close to six flags which is probably the best feature.

Then to add insult to injury- following morning I speak to mgr who says oh, I will just comp you a few credits or something and tried to walk away. I go with him to front desk where I learn the morning clerk is married to maintenance and that his phone never rang the night before. So it was basically screw all the guests that had the clogged tub issue from start to finish

Where do I begin? I called reservations the day of check in to advise I was traveling 16 1/2 hours and would not be able to check in til the following morning but before check out and I booked two nights. Reservations called the hotel to confirm I was all set and that I’d pay at check in. Around halfway through my 16 1/2 hr drive the hotel attempted to charge my card and cancelled my reservation. I arrive to the hotel and they first say they couldn’t find it and then proceed to offer me a new room for a higher rate than what I’d originally booked. I went back onto the app and secured my discounted room there. Still unable to check in until later, I had to leave. When I returned to check in, we get into a room where the bathroom obviously not been cleaned there was dirt rings in the tub was not draining when my daughter took a shower. I go to the front desk with my concern and they tell me I can take a room that the shower head is the tub faucet or a room where the water “takes a while to warm” or cancel my room altogether if they couldn’t reach maintenance who supposedly wasn’t answering his phone. I’m then also told to talk with the mgr when he arrives in the morning. Where else was I going to go on a Saturday night to get rest after spending all day in court and driving 16 1/2 to even get there.later that evening, my daughter over hears FIVE OTHER guests also complaining about their tubs not draining. My son had to borrow a plunger from the front desk to unclog the drain.

Was mislead regarding the “breakfast included” thinking it was a full breakfast but instead was only bagels/yogurt/juice. Older property and appeared clean but could use updating. Requested the two rooms to be connected but was not given that.

The staff was welcoming and worked to help as much as they could; however, our sheets were dirty, the can still had trash from the previous guests, there were dog food morsels on the carpet, and hair in the bathtub drain. When we brought it to the attention of the front desk, we were given clean sheets to change the beds. I am still waiting for a refund or contact from the manager/owner.

Had a great experience at Spark! I interacted with front desk staff twice and both employees were friendly, helpful and quick. The room was clean and comfortable. My dog was welcome and the overall stay was wonderful. Highly recommend this hotel!

I will definitely stay here again. My room was clean, the staff was very kind, the air conditioner was great, and the location was perfect for my needs. (close to UTSA/shopping/restaurants)

Breakfast was the worst just bagels muffins and yogurt. They need to change that definitely at least some cereal and waffles added. The coffee was so light on coffee did not taste like coffee very watered down. It says remodeled but the sink faucets from bath and toilet were rusty and ugly. Need to change those out. Toilet was dirty not scrubbed. Carpet had crumbs like raisins on the floor. The channels hardly any and iron terrible did not iron. The bed was great though very comfortable. Hopefully they do do some changes to those important things in a hotel.
