The perfect beachside getaway!

We loved everything about this stay! Right on the ocean so we could watch surfers and dolphins, in Pacific Beach where there's great restaurants, and great accommodations so we could sleep well and cook some meals. We will be back!

Wonderful Stay in a Comfortable Beach Condo!

I had a fantastic experience staying at this condo, complete with a stunning ocean view! The property was spotless, well-maintained, and exactly as listed. The modern and stylish decor created a warm and inviting atmosphere.The location couldn’t have been better—close to all the main attractions and great restaurants. Exploring the area was a breeze, and the neighborhood felt both safe and welcoming.Nancy was an exceptional host—responsive, friendly, and incredibly accommodating. She provided clear and detailed instructions for check-in and check-out, making the entire process smooth and hassle-free.All in all, I highly recommend this beach condo to anyone seeking a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. Everything was excellent except for minor details. The toaster is quite dated. Hard to figure how to use it then hard to actually use it. Toaster door sticks, handle falls off. We could not get heat in bedroom may have been our error. Overall it was excellent. Price was higher than we normally pay but it was worth it.

Family Vacation

We had a great time visting San Diego. The location is great and around many restaurants, grocery stores and anything us you might need to make your stay great. It is gated and makes you feel secure to stay there and enjoy your hone away from home. Nancy the owner was very accomodating when we asked to extend another night. Thank you for everything!

Amazing!

This was the perfect location with an amazing view! Easy to access local restaurants, coffee shops, grocery store, etc. The amenities were great! We enjoyed using the beach chairs, sand toys, pool and hot tub. It was the best getaway from a MN snowstorm!

The Condo is very nice and bright, Nancy was so helpful and responsive. More than enough towels that were all fresh and clean. The only thing that there were no enough Shampoo, conditioner and toilet paper. Other than that it was amazing vacation for us.

What a view!

The view was the main reason we booked this condo, and it did not disappoint. The location of condo was perfect, close to everything and very quiet. Condo was very clean upon arrival and stocked with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. It wasn’t obvious where to find the pool(it is actually 2 buildings behind condo) but the front desk staff pointed us in the right direction. One thing I’d like to mention to owner is that Smoke alarm was missing from ceiling, and there were wires hanging from where it was located, so that should probably be addressed. I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future, we had a fantastic time

Incredibly Impressed!!

This is our 3rd year staying at Capri By The Sea and each year we have stayed at a different condo. This one is BY FAR the most impressive, most updated, most enjoyable experiences that we have had!!! * 2nd Floor is amazing, you have the views still (we were worried that we wouldn't get the same view as our previous stays that were higher up), but you do. Being on the 2nd floor, you have MUCH more of a breeze! * There are CEILING FANS! The previous stays that we have had had no fans, making it pretty hot in the units. Being from Arizona, we have ceiling fans in every room that are constantly going non stop. These help move the air and helped keep the unit nice and cool! * Even the towels & toilet paper were high quality! I forgot to take a picture of the tag on the towels they were that soft! * New appliances, the beds were off the charts. * Can't beat the location, which is why we keep coming back. * The owners are super nice and quick to respond! I think, if I had to write a negative comment, would be if you have the sliding door open and the bedroom windows open (super nice cross breeze), the front door when open, will LITERALLY slam shut. If you are bringing kids please watch their little fingers! It was such a nice place! We enjoyed our stay and hope to stay there in the future! I HIGHLY recommend staying in this unit, it's the most updated, most efficient and modern unit yet! Thank you guys both!

Worst homeaway rental experience we have ever had->dated and dingy condo-needs complete remodel job

We have rented directly through Fabi in the Capri by the Sea office 7 other times.She didn't have any one bedrooms for our dates, so we rented this condo.What a huge mistake! I am a faithful reader of reviews, and I don't know how I missed the last review that gave them 1 star also.Maybe it wasn't up when I was checking the reviews.This place is dark, dated, and dirty. I told the owner that it needs a complete remodel and asked her when the last time was that they actually had gone in it?!! When we saw mold on the shower curtain, and bathroom ceiling, that took the cake. We wanted out of the contract and asked for a refund.She said that they normally require a 3 night stay,but that she would refund the money if we could be out by 11am the next day,leave the place in the condition it was in upon arrival, and after she inspected it (really?!! maybe she should inspect it more often and carefully) Fabi didn't have anything available at the Capri,and we knew it would be difficult to find a place on that short of notice.So,we opted to pay the change fee for an earlier flight home and had to stay 3 nights.They definitely do not take pride of ownership like the other owners of places we have rented do. This place has almost original everything form the 1970's when it was built. I had asked her before we rented if there were updates that had been made and she just hadn't posted pictures on the the home away site, and she said there had been. Maybe the TV's!! It is not a "Haven Away"!! It wasn't a pleasant place to be-we couldn't enjoy relaxing like we could at the other rentals. We are from Washington State and the only place we travel to, and rent, are in Pacific Beach.We had just been at a 4 bdr. house the week before with the entire family, and then my husband and I were looking forward to staying for an extra week directly on the beach to celebrate our retirement.We had stayed at that house previously and they look after their guests, unlike these people!I Shouldn't have had to pay the cleaning fee because it wasn't clean upon arrival! After sending her pictures of the mold,other dirty objects,other safety issues,and bedroom TV not working,she didn't even volunteer to remedy the situation!Hard to get WIFI going too.I had to write to her twice to ask her if she had mailed the refund check,and deposit. They don't take payments through Home Away so we didn't know what recourse we had if she didn't send it.I have lots of pictures!! Don't waste your money.
