Amazing view of the ocean, and right on the beach. very easy access to the beach. At least for the unit we stayed in it showed some wear and tear. Check in and out were easy, and the neighborhood had lots of options for restaurants and a grocery store near by.

Capri by the Sea was a beautiful property located steps away from the beach. The unit was an end unit, so the views of San Diego and the city were endless. It was a very outdated unit, with a rusted refrigerator, stained bathtub and pretty gross lint vent that appeared as if were never cleaned out. The check-in instructions were also confusing, as there was a rep on site. When I tried to check in, the security guard informed me that the instructions were outdated. Overall, our experience was very positive and had everything we needed for our mini vacation.

Loved the view! Did not like the sewage smell coming from the drains. The pool was down the block and the parking space in the garage was too small and I couldn’t get out of my Jeep so I ended up parking in the extra lot out in the open.

The views of the ocean and city were amazing. It was nice to have a kitchen and refrigerator to save money and not eat out all the time. Parking was free, which was also a bonus. The only negative is that it isn't a hotel, it's privately owned. There were no instructions on what to do with trash or what was expected for check out. Anytime you ask the front clerk they were nice but couldn't help. Their response was always, "contact the owner" but since we booked through Orbitz, we didn't have that info. Also, it was nice to have a pool, but it wasnt clearly stated that the pool was a part of the neighboring facility. So you had to leave this building and walk a short block to the pool. Other than that, it was an amazing experience and would definitely come again!

The great stay!

Cleanliness was the only issue, they could have done a better job. Depending on the room you choose its either going to be modern or a little outdated. I was stuck in between both. You can see they were doing updates but then there were items are just falling apart. However the great thing about it, depending on the room you choose, the view is breath taking. You are staying in a condo for the duration with bedrooms, bathrooms, living room, full kitchen, coined laundry machines on each floor, less than 2 min walk down to the beach. You will not be disappointed.

The location can’t be beat. Our unit had no heat or air conditioning except for space heaters. This was a problem in the back bedroom that had no room for a heater and had no sliding door to let the ocean breeze in. The blinds were broken, making sleep difficult if you need darkness. On our last night, I used the microwave which tripped a circuit for all the lights in the kitchen, dining area and living room.

The Bed That Told a Thousand Stories (and None Were Mine) Let me paint you a picture: I arrive at the hotel, weary from my travels, dreaming of a soft, clean bed to collapse into. What do I find? A treasure trove of “memories” from guests past. Imagine my surprise when I pull back the covers to discover not one, but *many* dirty used tissues delicately tucked in, as if the bed was thoughtfully prepared by a germophobe with a dark sense of humor. And oh, the body hair! A single strand would’ve been one thing, but this was a *family reunion* of hairs—like the bed had hosted a sleepover. To top it off, the sheets felt like they’d doubled as the local beach, sprinkled generously with a fine layer of sand. Nothing like exfoliating your skin while you sleep, am I right? The staff! let’s just say the staff took ‘relaxation’ to a whole new level… mostly their own. When I mentioned the room looked like it had been through a frat party—complete with mystery stains and a dust collection—the response I got was ‘oh, really’. A shrug. I guess I should be thankful they didn’t offer me a mop and say, ‘Well, you’re here for two nights, plenty of time to clean up!’ Five stars for their ability to stay calm in the face of filth. Would I recommend? Only if you’re doing research on bacteria."

The view was amazing. Had an end unit so could see all down the beach. Lots of entertainment watching the surfers and kite sailors. The property is a little dated but the owner is doing a good job remodeling room by room. We would come back!
