Easy Access & Private
Although the listing is part of a residence, the room has private access. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The host was great about communicating and keeping us informed throughout the stay. My son and I navigated SF area exclusively using nearby public transit. Every morning we graba bed breakfast at family owned donut shop.

There’s no kitchen advertised with this private unit, it has a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker, it’s an option if someone wants to use my full kitchen upstairs.

It was a good location, enough space and we got help from the Owner when we had any questions! However the listing photos were very confusing as it showed me the whole house, but we only rented one room downstairs!! Otherwise, great stay!

We had a great stay at Zack's place! The suite was nice and spacious, with a comfy bed and couch. Good neighbourhoos Zack was great to communicate with. Having a parking space was awesome (not always an easy thing to come by in the Bay Area), and the suite was in a great spot: short walk away from the train station and maybe a 15 to 20 minute ride to downtown.

Terrific San Fran location
The host was great to work with. Communication was prompt, and he was there for any Questions. Even to let me know name of SUPER comfortable mattress! Great location, quick drive to everything. Would def suggest this as a terrific and reasonable clean place to stay.

Clean, quiet room very close to pretty much every retail, dining, and entertainment offering you could ask for. Walking distance to BART. 15 minutes to Chase Center; 25 minutes to the Financial District.

I write good review as long as the host/staffs are friendly. Host here was pretty helpful so I gave good score, but you should specify that you are providing 'shared' kitchen. Private kitchen and shared one makes huge difference. Can use free laundromat and dryer here, which can be an advantage(bring ur own detergent).

Great location 15 min from San Francisco. 20 min BART train ride into the city & 10 min walking distance to train. Very clean, has microwave & Keurig machines with coffee & shared kitchen upstairs. Parking spot was a plus.

I stayed at Zack's place for a 3 day work trip. It was as described/pictured and getting in/out was quick and easy. The fact there was a place to park a vehicle was a plus. In addition, Zack made sure to do a quick check in via text and make sure everything was okay.

Best hostel you will ever stay at
This is a quiet neighborhood. The living space is as seen on the internet. One parking space is available and it was in a driveway in front of a two car garage. For San Francisco, this is a great situation. The host was very friendly and provided tasty croissants for breakfast treats. The kitchen is shared with others. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Spacious and affordable
This property is surprisingly spacious and very clean. Even though it was in the lower level next to the garage, it did not feel dark or dingy. It was very airy and had enough bright sunlight with a modern bathroom, a Keurig, mini fridge, TV with Netflix and HBO. There is a parking spot in front if you're driving. The check-in process was very smooth. Zack was very responsive and accommodated an earlier check-in. If you're looking for an affordable, clean, and spacious place to stay that is close to the city, I highly recommend staying at Zack's.

A lovely Place to stay
We really enjoyed staying here. It had plenty of room, a beautiful new bathroom and lots of extra touches like a microwave, a small fridge, paper plates and a coffee maker with a variety coffee and some bottles of water. The host was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. The sofa bed was also comfortable. There were plenty of pillows and everything was very clean. ;)

Great place
This studio was really nice and very clean, you even have a private back patio (just wish there were some chairs and a table outside). The neighborhood was very quiet. The people upstairs are a bit noisy, you can hear them walking around and moving furniture around. The studio even has a washer and drier we can use right outside our door. It was great to have clean clothes for the 3rd leg of our trip. It was kinda hard using the laundry because the people upstairs were always using it for the 2 nights we were there and they would leave it sitting in the machines forever. The drive to San Francisco was close and it was really nice we had a designated parking spot in the driveway. I would definitely stay again.

Exactly what we needed

The place is great and agree with other comments about hearing the walking on the floor above. For me was not a problem because I was here for work and so was quiet overnight. Was a great host and super pleased with the place. Will stay again when I’m in SF-which I am quite often.

Reasonably priced for vacation in SF
We share the same sentiments as the previous reviewers. The noise from the residents upstairs and the sweaky floor can be bothersome. Kept me awake at night. Use ear plugs if you are sensitive to that kind of stuff. The location is convenient, just outside of San Francisco. Definitely reasonably priced. Zack checked on us to see how we were doing. Place was well equipped with bathroom and kitchen necessities. We were going to utilize the laundry until we saw the sign that washing/drying was only allowable between 9am-6pm. Then only to find out the residents were actually using it after 6pm until 10pm. Overall it was a good stay.

The laundry for the guests saying at this floor unit is available 24/7, the singe was there for some guests upstairs so they can not bother who is staying on this floor unite, I was clear and toll this guests that they can use the laundry with no restriction but I’m surprised seeing this on her review.

comfortable apartment, easy access to BART, little else in walking distance
The apartment was comfortable and spacious and overall good accommodations if you are visiting the Bay area and don't want to pay SF hotel prices. Very comfortable bed, couch and big TV with Netflix (but no cable channels), and the bathroom looked newly tiled. Everything was very clean and Zack was helpful and responsive by text when we checked in. BART was an easy walk. A little over $4 each way to get downtown. The only reason it got four instead of five stars was that there was nothing much else within walking distance, and we didn't have a car so we were limited. Not much nearby in the way of a decent bakery or cafe for breakfast so we just got on BART hungry in the morning to head into SF. But that was the point of our trip, and for the price it worked out fine for us. We didn't use the upstairs kitchen. Apparently other people were staying there. We did hear some walking on the floor over our heads at night some and early one morning. I sleep with ear plugs anyway so it didn't bother me much but my husband commented on it one morning. One thing to note was that the bathroom light is on a motion sensor switch -- an unpleasant surprise when I had to use the bathroom in middle of the night and I was suddenly blinded by the light! On the whole though a good stay.

Clean and Convenient
The apartment was clean and convenient probably about 30 minutes to downtown San Francisco. The only thing was that there seemed to be a lot of people upstairs that you could hear so I didn't feel comfortable using the kitchen; the laundry room was in use every time I tried to use it. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. I would have been more at ease if there was a more secure lock on the outside door. All and all, it's a great place to stay for a short visit to San Francisco. We had a great stay with Zack. His unit is clean and all you need for a brief visit to San Francisco. Great shower! Convenient to Bart, Zack is very helpful with helping with things to see and San Francisco information. The only thing I would recommend would be a luggage rack to keep in the closet. Only issue was the upstairs neighbor. They decided to wake up at 3 am and walk around for a couple of hours. You can hear everything. Besides that, it was a great place. I recommend it but just bring ear plugs.

Very nice location
We were a family of 3 staying at Zack's place and we were very pleased with the location and the room itself. Very close to the BART station which made it easy for us to go anywhere we wanted. Zack was very welcoming and was really prompt to answer any of our questions.

Wonderful Hotel-like Studio
Zack was a great host. His place was very clean, well-equipped (extremely close to what you'd expect from a hotel suite) and big enough to comfortably accommodate the three of us. The studio also had a TV with free access to Netflix, free WiFi, Keurig coffee machine with plenty of flavors to choose from, and parking was included! I would highly recommend Zack's place to anyone interested in a modern, clean and safe place that's a mere 10 - 15 min drive from downtown SF.

I rent "often" from VRBO and have been very happy with all my location stays. Regarding this particular location --- though the room was spacious and clean it was the room below the main house and right by the laundry - you could hear "every" move of their chairs and "any" walking they did upstairs which required me to have the TV up louder then I wanted while my husband recovered just to be able to hear the TV. Also, this is supposed to be a home away from home atmosphere, there were only 2 towels and 2 hand towels but no wash clothes?? to be able to wash your face so I had to go buy some which was not terrible but an inconvenience. We were there for my husband to recover from a surgery and I wasn't planning on having to go shopping for something that is basic and what a person uses everyday. Not sure what I would of done if I was staying longer since there was no extra towels either. The location was perfect though but not sure if I would stay again mainly due to the noise from above the room.

I never had guests asking for washcloth for the face !! I think this lady used to go to 5 stars hotels or something, but make sure that you are not paying for what you pay in 5 stars hotels. There are a comfortable bath towel plus medium size face towel for every guest, so I don’t know what this lady is looking for ! Yes The laundry room is outside of this room and pretty clear instruction to use it between 9am and 6pm only and I never had complain from any guests before about it. Unfortunately This lady is too much drama ( sorry for saying this).

Simple and clean, exactly what we needed.
The space had exactly what we needed and our host was accommodating when our plans altered we and needed to add an extra person to our group. The bed was a comfortable queen size, the sofa also converted to a comfortable bed, and there was room enough for a twin mattress to be placed on the floor. All the sheets and towels were clean and good quality. A hairdryer was provided. The keurig, fridge, and microwave all worked wonderfully. A short walk to the Colma Station, and Lyft quickly arrived when ordered. Meals were easily ordered and delivered by Grub Hub. I found this location to be incredibly convenient, and much quieter than downtown. All communication occurred over text and email, and all of our needs were tended to quickly and efficiently. I was very happy with this stay.
