Tango de Mayo Hotel

Tango de Mayo Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"You know how some hotels are beautiful and charming on the outside and in the lobby, but then really basic and dated in the rooms? Not Tango de Mayo! Tango de Mayo is a gorgeous property, with comfortable and impeccably clean rooms, and beautifully charming touches throughout the building. I was greeted by Jessica at the front desk, who very graciously let us check in even though we were early. Very professional and friendly, she sets a great first impression for the hotel. Loved my stay here! Beautifully located, just a short stroll away from Plaza de Mayo and the Obelisk. Area felt safe both in the mornings and the evenings plus it was reassuring that they monitored entry onto the premises. Tango based decorations throughout the place and a beautiful lobby with complimentary tea. Bedding was luxuriously soft, and the bathrooms well maintained. Breakfast was a big spread - eggs, various kinds of toast, sausages and cold cuts, cereals, juices and a good selections of teas. Only improvements I might suggest, were if they provided more than one mini bottle of shampoo (we were two female guests staying for 2 days), and if the wonderful blackout curtains went all the way to the edge of the windows on both sides! I stayed for the first part of my trip in a hotel at Recoleta, before heading out to explore northern Argentina towns and returning to Buenos Aires to stay here . Wished I had stayed here for the first half too! Highly recommended!"

Hotel Pulitzer

Hotel Pulitzer

8/10 Good
"As a single woman, noticed that none of the room doors had no peep holes to see who was at the door. The hotel was a bit outdated, The carpet in the room was curled up from the floor in the corner. They ran out of eggs on the morning breakfast 3 of the 7 nights I stayed there. It was a very convenient location, and the staff was very nice."
