"This house is truly one of a kind. It felt like stepping into The Croods (the movie)—living in a cave, but an incredibly luxurious one! The kids said it was like being in a fairytale and were genuinely sad to leave. Tucked away by the river and off the beaten path, it had everything we needed for a magical stay."

"It was amazing seeing all the different birds from their restaurant patio. I saw way more kinds of birds including two tucans from here than from the actual birds watching tours. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Nice city view too. "

"Due to the rain we had a ton of bugs in the room. It was kinda gross. Otherwise things were great! Also the road up to the resort was very brutal. Luckily our driver was a good sport."

"Zimmergrösse war in Ordnung, aber leider nicht geputzt. Handtücher, Seife und Shampoo waren noch vom Vorgänger da. Überall lagen tote Insekten. Essen war ungenießbar. Irgendwelche Pasta mit Dosengemüse und Fertigsauce, Reis mit Fleisch komplett versalzen. Alles sehr lieblos. Eigentlich sehr schade, weil die Anlage und Location sehr schön wäre. "

"Our stay at the villa was excellent. The villa was very spacious with large, comfortable rooms. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the pool was well-maintained and beautifully lit even at night. Communication with the hosts was excellent! One drawback – the villa is located on a slope, which on the one hand offers a stunning view of the sunset and the ocean, but on the other hand can be a bit unsafe for small children. ⸻ "

"Staying at the Golden Pineapple villas was the highlight of our trip. Perfect location with walking distance to the waterfall. The drive there is a little steep at times, so just make sure to have a four wheel drive car to get there. The staff were all very friendly, had such great recommendations for getting around and navigating tourist areas of Costa Rica. They were helpful in me trying to practice Spanish and taught us some Spanish phrases used in Costa Rica and taught us about the Costa Rican culture. Very personable staff! Me and my husband were here on our honeymoon and it’s so hard to pick a place in Costa Rica because the options are endless- the Golden Pineapple is a true hidden gem with money very well spent. We had a private pool and bathtub which were both absolutely breathtaking. If you want a quiet, romantic get away and/or love being in nature I Highly highly recommend staying here! When we went to another part of Costa Rica we kept saying we wished we were back at the Golden Pineapple! "

"This property was incredibly beautiful. This hotel is more for couples and my husband and I enjoyed it. The food was amazing. Everyone on the staff went over and beyond to assist you with whatever you need. The atmosphere was great as well. The perfect get away to relax, reflect and restore. "I'm so happy that we found this place. This will be a spot we always return to for our family visits to Costa Rica. It's perfectly located near some of the BEST BEACHES and SURF spots in the world! We had SO much fun. How many places have their very own Private Waterfall, fresh Fruit Trees, sky view swimming pool, and top notch security. I wish we could've stayed longer.Ben is an absolutely amazing host. He was always friendly, accommodating and quick to respond to our needs. We couldn't have asked for a better host.We'll be back soon!!! "
