Small boutique-like inn, located in a neighborhood. The staff were wonderful, breakfast very good. Pool is small, water warm. Rooms are nothing fancy, air conditioning units are noisy so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Owner lives on the property, not super engaging, just wants to play retired. 😊. Paola was very helpful, a gem of an employee. Outdoor seating is nice, overall a nice stay.

Close enough to the airport without being in the middle of San Jose. Great view on the canyon. Very friendly staff and very nice accommodations.

Nice, homely property to make for a pleasant stay. I love that it’s far enough away from downtown San Jose that’s it’s not as congested and yet, close enough to get to where you need to get to quickly. The property itself has nice amenities, pool, hot tub, stocked kitchen, breathtaking views and is well maintained by the owner & staff. The fresh cooked daily breakfast was simply amazing! Room was decent but a bit uncomfortable IMO. The mini-split functioned well so temperature wasn’ta problem. I’m ok with the fact that the room itself was bite-sized but a few other factors made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. The pillows were uncomfortably soft to me. Had to put a decorative pillow underneath it for support. We had unruly neighbors at one point that played TV or talked loud at certain points of the night which could be clearly heard or turned the light right outside of our rooms on which is bright enough to wake up a light sleeper like myself. Nothing major, just minor gripes. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay.

A great place to stay as you arrive or before departing from San Jose, or while exploring the Central Valley. The staff is so helpful and the view is beautiful. Great breakfast!

Vista Canyon Inn is a perfect little slice of heaven tucked on the side of quite literally a canyon. It is located in a suburb of San Jose, so it is quiet enough for relaxing but close enough to the city for access to activities. The owners and staff are so friendly and will assist you with anything you need from excursions, to onsite spa services to arranging COVID testing. The rooms are cozy, clean and beautiful and the beds are firm but comfortable. The pool is clean and always a warm temperature. The jacuzzi is hot and a perfect place to wind down after a day of white water rafting and zip lining. I will definitely be returning.

The views were definitely unique and the biggest draw to the property itself. The staff is amazing and they truly go above and beyond for their guests, thank you for this!!! The rooms are cozy and have plenty of amenities both within and in the lobby/kitchen/Recreational area. Breakfast which was included was delicious each day. Dining after that takes planning but can be done in whatever capacity works for your stay and you schedule plenty nearby with Uber Eats. Easy to pre plan transportation to and from airport with the staff and or to create additional tours if need be.

Vista Canyon Inn and its owners are a dream come true. Everything about it is wonderful. It’s beautiful, clean, comfortable, friendly, helpful, personable; breakfast is delicious and the massage option is easy to coordinate and wonderful. The pool and hot tub are clean and relaxing. There’s a dog across the street that barks sometimes but nobody can do anything about that. Restaurants, grocery and pharmacy are nearby. The hosts feel like old friends. I can’t wait to go back!

I loved everything about this place. The owners and managers are exceptional. Their restaurant suggestions were spot on. The location truly offers a Vista Canyon and the food offered delicious. all the details of the hotel were perfect for the setting. We had traveled to San José from the Nicoya Peninsula for business and decided to make it an overnight mini-vacation. And it truly was! We will be back!

Great experience ! Dave ,Marsha, Elezar and the staff went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable ,and everything was taken care of. They arranged a tour,massage, taxi service, meal delivery, and were always there with any questions I had. Fresh breakfasts using local ingredients were delicious. I had a nice room near the pool and hot tub,which were always clean and available. Very nice landscaping with palm trees ,flowers,and plants. Being next to the canyon is nice, the property feels very private. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Muy buena opción para descansar.
Excelente muy amables, nos sentimos como en casa. Buen wifi, propio para descansar y relajarse. Punto de mejorar sería solo un poco de seguridad en el área de La terraza que da hacia el mirador.
