Beautiful family/kid friendly modern penthouse apartment with private rooftop located at Villas del Mar Beach Resort with views to the ocean from almost every angle.
Conveniently located just 30 min. from San Juan Int. Airport with pool and semi-private beach.
Accommodates 8 adults. 3 bedrooms (5 beds), 2 bathrooms, laundry room with washer and dryer, ocean view terrace and balconies.
Air conditioning units in every room as well as in the living room and kitchen areas. Wi-Fi and Flat Screen TV, cable, DVD/BlueRay player with Netflix are all included.
Walking distance to the beach.
This beautiful Beach Resort has two pools, a Jacuzzi, gym, tennis, basketball and beach volleyball courts.
This Resort is just 30 minutes drive east from San Juan International Airport (SJU). Take Hwy. 26 Este (East) Carolina / Fajardo
Two left lanes merge into Hwy. 66 East Canovanas / Fajardo.
Pass toll using AutoExpresso lane if your rental car has their decal, if not use the right lane to be able to pay with cash or card.
Take Exit # 14 North PR-188 Loiza / Rio Grande / Canovanas.
Cross PR-3 and Continue on PR-188 San Isidro / Loiza until the end.
Turn right on PR-187 East towards Rio Grande and continue until the Km. 22.6 mark on the left side of the road.
After the Km. 22.6 mark look to your left for
the Farmacia Medianía billboard.
Make a left on that street and continue to the end of the street.
Welcome to Villas del Mar Beach Resort!!
Use the middle lane and identity yourselves with the Security Guard.
The apartment number is I-402.
After the guard drive straight to the next to
last building on your right, look for the parking spot label I-402. **** January 2024 update **** after last huracán season because of high tide, complex fence to beach was damage, now complex is working if rebuild and processing law permits, so direct access to beach is closed because of safety, beach access still open is walking around the complex 7-8 minutes walk, using the street at the left side of complex.

Great base camp to explore north east PR

Great space for our family. Loved the rooftop and beach access. It was centrally located to a lot of sights we wanted to see on PR. Could use some more tourist friendly restaurants near by, but plenty of great options 15 minutes away.

Little piece of heaven

Everything was wonderful! We had everything we needed to enjoy a beautiful vacation including beach items. Lots of restaurants nearby as well stores. Would definitely stay again!

Great Rooftop Terrace!

Our family enjoyed this property, especially the rooftop deck and the laundry machines. Communication was easy and swift. Lots of stairs so be prepared! The view is worth it.

What a great apartment

This was such a wonderful place to stay. The rooftop patio was a great spot to catch the evening breeze and also a good place for afternoon napping in the hammock. The host was able to get us checked in early since our flight arrived early in the day. It is a good location for visiting attractions in the area

Puerto Rico group trip

The property was perfect for our group of 6. The roof top area was amazing, very private and relaxing. The entry to the beach area was great dispite the hurricane damage. We would totally stay here again. The owners were quick to help with all and any needs, though we didn't need much.

Pictures were accurate!

We had a wonderful stay! The views from both balconys and the private rooftop deck were amazing! I even got to see the celestial "happy face" from the back balcony. The condo had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of towels. The kitchen had everything we needed. There is a Walmart not too far away, and a nice little neighborhood store at the end of the street. We will look forward to returning someday.

Perfection in Paradise

The Beach views are phenomenal, the beds are very comfortable, the Rooftop is a relaxing Mecca and the location in Loiza is perfect. The only thing that would make it better is a dishwasher. I would stay here again and again and again.

Summer vacation 25

Thw house was nice, clean and well equipped! We had plenty towles and kitchen items. The master br didn not have a tv, i messaged the owner and within a few house he had one installed for us. The top deck wasnt as clean as i would have liked but it is outside so thats to be expected. Owners were helpful with tips and suggestions .

Comfortable family space

Secured apartment complex. The apartment was clean and well taken care of, the roof top deck and balconies were beautiful despite needing paint. The pools were extremely dirty with dead animals floating in them so we weren't able to use them, but the ocean being so close made up for it! Proximity to El Yunque was very nice. Got our work out going up and down the four flights of stairs. Host was very responsive when we arrived very late. Would stay again !

Perfect Spot to get out of the City

Nice 3BR condo on the 4th floor of a gated, guarded complex. House is set up for easy use and the AC and all applicances work great! The big sell is the outdoor rooftop space! The beach was not acessable while we were there due to hurricane erosion, but there are plenty of beaches to visit within 10 minutes drive.

Awesome Property

The house was amazing. We loved the privately terraces most. The rooms were clean and the beds were sufficient. The kitchen was well equipped. The location of the property was also convenient with major attractions close by. The beach at the property didn't seem safe, but Luquillo beach was nearby so was not of an issue. The property was gated and safe. Overall a nice house and at affordable price.

Just a great out of the way spot.

Quiet and quaint little property. Definitely recommend if you want out of the city and a nice quiet spot. It does have an ocean view and a wonderful rooftop hangout. Anytime we needed to find the kids they were on the rooftop. You can tell the area took a hurricane hit as the beach is mostly wiped out, but still a wonderful stay. The owners are not pushy and just let you enjoy ypur stay. Absolutely recommended.

Another great stay!

This is the second year that we stood at this property, and just like the first time we loved it! The property itself is beautiful the buildings are well kept and the pool areas is nice. The beach is a little bit unaccessible but that I’m sure has been caused by past hurricanes. The apartment is very nice, comfortable and very welled stocked with all things that you can imagine and plenty of things to use for the beach and pool. I love coming here and will come back again.

family vacation

was an awesome place, I did not realize it was on a 4th floor with no elevator but had some great family that carried stuff up and down. It was in listing i just didn't see it. Everything you would need was there. I just had to do food shopping. The beds were comfortable, 1 king size and a bunk bed in each other room with full size on bottom and single on top. It fit my family well plus pull out couches in living room. Security on property was great, secured fenced area all around with a security 24/7. i would rent again . Thank you for experience

Great Family vacation

Our visit to Puerto Rico was amazing! I was slightly concerned driving to the condo but once inside the gated community, my mind was more at ease. The town itself seems very local and not many tourists (which was more the feel we were looking for) but I’m not sure we would have wondered outside of the condo area after dark. And it was a perfect location to get to our plans in Old San Juan and then also plans of a boat tour to Icacos Island and our tour of the rainforest. We traveled with four kids age 16-6. The beach was so close and beautiful. We spent a whole day just there right outside our place. We spend time watching iguanas in the trees right beside our balcony. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed. The folding chairs for the beach were slightly rusted and maybe could be replaced as they are starting to come apart at the top and have metal poles sticking out. The beds were Very comfortable. Overall this was an excellent stay for our family.

Lack luster

The host was very responsive. The location is away from the city which offer peace from the hustle and bustle. My name wasn’t listed as a guest upon arrival and though I was given the opportunity to check in early, I sat outside of the gated property for two hours. The property is not well maintained and the furniture is extremely worn. The couches were mucky with dust. No one sat on them during the visit. The property bathrooms were NOT cleaned. The showers were filled with soap scum. The pictures from the listing are old so don’t expect the homeliness. What went well was the communication between the host. I definitely wouldn’t stay again but the area was amazing.

Great beach resort for family/friends

We stayed here for 6 days and everything was perfect. Gated community in the resort area with two parking spaces and lots of amenities. The AC and ceiling fans worked great. This was about 25-min from San Juan. We drove a lot but it was nice to come back every night to quiet retreat. There was a nice balcony in the front and back of the condo to sit and enjoy coffee and listen to the coqui. There are lots of amenities like the pool, jacuzzi, roof top access, a small gym in the front of the resort, a tennis court, a little cook out area right by the beach with lots of beach supplies. The washer and dryer in the condo was very convenient. Piñones is about 20 minutes away and a great place to visit for some street food. There is also a little supermarket at the entrance of the resort that has everything you would need, including alcohol. Just no elevator, so get ready to get your steps in but it’s worth it for the views and rooftop. Would definitely book again! Host very responsive!

Awesome views, comfortable, and great value!

Our group of 6 was very comfortable here! It was very nice of the host to leave some welcome refreshments (very yummy garlic plantain chips!) and there was good communication for any questions we had. The best part of this place is the rooftop deck - we really enjoyed dining up here and relaxing on the sofa and hammock with views and listening to the tropical birds and ocean waves. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, and used the provided beach towels and cooler, very handy. The pools at the complex are also great. The hot tub needed maintenance while we were there, but pool water temps were perfect. The grounds have good security and are well maintained, with work currently going on. The location is lovely being on the beach, and close to the rainforest. A bit of a drive for other attractions but not far to Old San Juan, Luquillo and others, and there is a small grocery store/pharmacy down the street that has all the necessities. The beach is lovely but the north shore can have rip currents. Still beautiful for wave jumping! We definitely recommend this place and it's a great value!

We very much enjoyed our stay here! It was spacious, never felt cramped, and the roof top patio was phenomenal! I was up for the sunrise every morning and walked the beach to see the sunset almost every night. The beach towels were a blessing as we didn’t have to cram those in our bags to bring, And having a washer and dryer was fantastic. Our host was responsive and the location to all the activities we wanted to do could not have been better. The beach was sandy and perfect for our family. The pelicans put in quite a show for us! To be clear, this is a condo and not a posh resort, but that does not detract from its beauty, in my opinion. You can see the clear evidence of the previous hurricanes and some trash and destruction still waiting for cleanup off to the side, but we felt safe and enjoyed being one of the people in the neighborhood. It was truly beautiful just the experience we wanted for our kids.The corner pharmacy/store was helpful to have so close and Gustito Vale Tacos was delicious. ( We had it twice!) Thank you for a wonderful time in your perfect-for-a-family place! We highly recommend it to others!
