"We had problems with our train journey and eventually decided to make an unplanned stay somewhere near Paola station overnight and try again the next day. The nearest place we could find was Hotel Cliche so we just booked it... and we can't believe how lucky we were! The staff here were the most genuinely friendly and helpful people you could possibly hope for. They arranged to collect us from the station and when we got to the hotel we enjoyed a really relaxing evening having pizza and a drink in their restaurant / bar area. The atmosphere was really chilled with some locals at the bar too and we soon forgot our train woes. The room was great and we had a very comfortable and quiet night followed by plentiful breakfast the next day. The hotel then arranged a taxi for us back to the station and we continued on our way. THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone at Hotel Cliche for such a warm welcome and all your help. You turned a difficult day into a very enjoyable and memorable part of our Italian holiday!"

"Hotel and staff were wonderful. Easy check in and check out. Great location. Room and bathroom great and clean and all other areas in the hotel. Breakfast was very good. Loved having the slippers too. Only complaint would be that wifi was not very good but would stay again. Thank you."

"Pool was enjoyable, very clean, liner needs to be replaced but totally acceptable. Staff is the most amazing part, alway ready to help out. Room was new with a strong air conditioner, once the door is closed it was totally sound proof. We enjoyed it and will be back again"

"Reception and staff were all very pleasant and friendly. When the safe’s alarm went off because of low batteries, they promptly came and serviced it. The bathroom itself was fairly small. The shower had a bit of mold, and the shower doors did not completely close. It was also a fairly small shower, with barely enough room to turn around in it. Water pressure was decent. The only toiletries provided was from the wall-mounted soap dispenser. The bed was extremely firm, as were all the pillows (not to taste). There was parking in front of the hotel, and it was easy to get in and out of. It was close to multiple restaurants, easily walkable."

"The front desk on arriving was not super friendly, probably because we had two service dogs with us. They tried to charge us for the service dogs, though that is both against Hotels.com policy and Italian law. The room was OK, large, with a nice balcony. The shower, though, had mold on the showerhead nozzles. Breakfast was OK, but limited selection, and again originally an issue with the service dogs being allowed with us into the restaurant. They want us to sit outside! Fortunately, the manager/owner intervened and our service dogs and we were seated. The private beach is across the street, but easily walkable, and the dogs had a great time running on the sand. If you do NOT have a SERVICE dog, you’ll probably be treated well (or, better than we were)."
