3 Bed/3 Bath Rental Above Downtown Cambria, Fabulous Location!

Enjoy unique ocean views over the meandering pines and rooftops of the West Village and ending at the incredible sea. The crisp sunset views over Moonstone Beach can be enjoyed with a glass of wine at the end of the day right from the living room, master bedroom or two decks of this home. This well-appointed home will not disappoint!

The spacious layout ensures that everyone in your group will have plenty of space to relax in privacy or gather in the comfortable living and dining rooms together.
The large master suite is on it's own level, it has a king-size bed, a full private bathroom, and a wood-burning fireplace. (PLEASE NOTE: Due to water restrictions, soaking tub is not available for guest use!!!) With it's own private deck to enjoy the ocean view, and smart TV, you'll have your own private retreat.
The second bedroom is on the main level, it has a queen size bed, deck access and a smart TV. There is also a reclining chaise lounge to enjoy or use as an extra sleeping space for your little one.
The third bedroom is actually it's own private "studio" above the two car garage. Connected to the main house through the garage or private outside entry, it has two twin beds with a small/private bathroom. This "studio" includes a smart TV and kitchenette. This space is up a narrow, steep flight of indoor stairs. The studio is very much part of the main home.

The fully equipped kitchen is open to the dining room and living room, and has all the comforts of home. The large sectional couch in the living room is the perfect place to enjoy the wood burning fireplace or large smart TV. Wrap around deck with ocean views has a gas burning grill and outside dining table. Also on this level is a large laundry/ mudroom, the perfect place to unload after a day at the beach.

Within walking distance to downtown shopping and restaurants, and less then a 5 minute drive to beach access.

When you're ready to venture out and explore the beautiful Central Coast you will have many options close by. Hearst Castle and Hearst Winery, perched above the San Simeon Cove, are a short drive up the coast, and the famed Paso Robles wine country is a quick drive east. Charming San Luis Obispo is a 45-minute drive south and the Big Sur Coast is at your doorstep heading north. Cambria is the perfect starting off point for countless adventures.

Great Location and Spacious House

We enjoyed our stay at the house. The house was clean, spacious and a very short walk to the main street. We enjoyed being so close to town, the preserve, and the beach.

Great House and Location

When arriving at the Breen Real Estate office, the checking process was super easy and the staff extremely helpful. They made sure we were aware of how to contact them should we need anything and let us know about the area. The house was great. Nice, clean, great view from the multiple decks. All as advertised. Plenty of room and multiple areas to hang out. Kitchen was very nice and had all that we needed. Beds were super comfortable. Looking forward to staying there again.

This is a great house if you want to be very close to Main Street. We enjoyed that aspect -- a minute to Moonstone Beach, a couple minutes to the north bluff trail at Fiscalini Ranch Preserve. If you want to be on the ocean this is not the place as it is above town a couple of blocks. I thought the home coffee set up could be a little better, maybe a french press; and some condiments like sugar could have been useful. Finally they have a wonderful refrigerator but no ice maker. My brother and I enjoyed our stay very much.

The owners did a wonderful job of thinking and providing the needs of renters.Forexample, every bedroom had its own TV.The whole house was exceptionally clean. The location (for us) was perfect! My daughter and granddaughterwalked to town every day.Nice viewsfrom upper decks. At 88 I was very careful on the multitude of stairs, but I decided it was good exercize.It would not be acceptable for someonewho needed a walker for instance. We would definitely come back!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We (mom, dad, 19yo daughter, 2 dogs) had a fantastic end-of-year getaway at the Hartford House! We've been coming to Cambria for 25 years and always stay in a vacation rental. We had never stayed in this part of town before. We loved the location! It was so great to be able to walk down the hill to coffee, shops, and restaurants. We even walked to Moonstone Beach and the boardwalk one morning and it was fantastic! Plus you could see the ocean from the great decks they have on the town-side of the house. There are A LOT of stairs in the house - especially if you're using the guest loft above the garage. Also, taking the dogs outside was always a bit of an adventure - especially for our older dog who kept slipping on the hardwood floors. She spent the whole vacation on the main level because she couldn't manage the stairs without falling. The fireplaces in the living room and main bedroom are great. Plus having TVs in the living room and both bedrooms was a nice touch. Kitchen was well equipped though we didn't do much cooking with all the great restaurants Cambria has to offer. (Especially Linn's for breakfast, lunch, and baked treats!) Couches and beds were comfortable - though the display on the sleep number bed remote in the main bedroom was broken so it took a little guesswork to get it adjusted. We would definitely stay here again.

Really enjoyed the place! Clean and had everything we needed. Only tip, bring a sleeping mask for the master bedroom, if sky lights would bother you in the morning.
