"We came from Puerto Princesa and are now in El Nido. The hotels in both of these places (for the same money!) are outstanding which made us realise HOW BAD this one was. We stayed for 2 nights and during this time we had no hot water or the housekeeping done. Appreciate Port Barton has more of a rustic charm so the price should reflect it. This was nothing more than an old outdated static caravan. Breakfast was terrible. Another table were complaining about a 70 minute delay despite ordering the night before. We didn’t have anything day 2 and were pleased to get out of there. "
"Great access to pristine beach with very few crowds. Very friendly staff and excellent efforts to make guests comfortable. Rooms are spacious and quite well equipped. The infinity pool offers great view of the sea and sunset. Had some difficulty communicating with the hotel prior to arrival especially in arranging ground transportation to reach the hotel from other cities in Palawan. Hope they fix that problem."
"Nice little hotel. Quiet part, staff is really helpful and nice. Rooms are nice and clean but simple. Good value for money and a very nice location by the sea. Be sure to get dropped off at the back entrance when you have luggage makes the arrival easier. "
"Au debut on etait pas sure du quartier cetait bizarre finalement manager super cool et accueillant...belle plage securitaire ....bonne bouffe...l eau chaude n etait pas au rendez vous dans la douche et un peu loin de tout ....mais si tu as envie d etre dépayser et d encourager des petits depanneurs locaux...cest la.place ...j aurais pris 1 journee de plus ....nous sommes passés en coup de vent"
"The shared spaces (eating area and outdoor) are manicured very nicely and the owners/staff were great. The room was clean but needed maintenance. The shower head fell off as soon as we turned it on and the toilet seat was very loose. There is also no AC. The fan worked which was good. Luckily the owner did quickly fix the shower head for us. The screen doors also didn't fully close so bugs could fly in. It's a convenient location and a good price."
"Check in was fast and smooth.
Location was great.
Room was nice.
Breakfast was poor. Very limited selection, and one of the two days they ran out of clean plates at 8:05am"
"Very well located on the beach close to the cool bars. The hotel does exactly what is says and was a great place to base our selves. Hotel room was fairly basic but staff were helpful and breakfast outside in the terrace was a lovely way to start the day. "
"Our stay at Coconut Garden Resort was unforgettable! Nestled on the beautiful Cagnipa Island, it felt like our own private paradise. Although the forecast predicted rain, we were lucky to enjoy two full days of sunshine—perfect for exploring and relaxing.
The house reef just off the beach was a highlight—amazing snorkeling right at our doorstep! The resort's menu and food exceeded our expectations—fresh, flavorful, and with great variety. Every meal felt like a treat.
The staff were fantastic—welcoming, attentive, and always ready with a smile. And we absolutely loved the resort dogs, Momo and Toytoy—sweet, friendly companions who made the experience feel even more homey.
The boat shuttle to and from Port Barton was scenic and smooth, adding to the adventure. For most of our stay, we had the whole island to ourselves, which made it incredibly peaceful and special. A group of about 15 guests arrived after we left, so we really got to enjoy that serene, castaway vibe.
If you're looking for a unique, off-the-beaten-path island experience with great hospitality and natural beauty, Coconut Garden Resort is the perfect escape. We’re already dreaming of coming back!"
