"The room was excellent. It was private with a nice outdoor space. The staff was friendly though I do speak some Portuguese, which was useful; nonetheless my brother does not and there was never a communication issue. The amenities were excellent and I highly recommend the wine tasting."

"Fantastic stay for 2 nights in late September. Location is a challenging drive up a mountain, mixed signage. Great staff, lovely room and outstanding view on a clear sunny day. One challenge - breakfast is provided, dinner is not available....we did ask for a cheese platter one evening (the only option) but it was not made for us, not sure why - so we had to drive 15 mins into town in the dark. Overall a fantastic stay but be warned it is not a hotel, it is a quinta (farm) that does not really have much more than a room with a view. For that its amazing."
