"I couldn't get in to the property. I arrived at around 7pm and put the code into the door lock and turned the handle only to find that the door was also locked with another lock I phoned the contact number on the booking confirmation only to find it was an office and nobody was there, so I left a message, I never had a reply. I rang Hotels.com, who were very helpful. But they were unable to get me a refund. I had not read the reviews for the place, but I sugest that if you want to make booking...

"For the $91 per night price, this was very good value. Indeed, the property is a mere 5 minutes from the port and train station, which is great. Also, there are good restaurants within a 15 to 20 minute walk. There is a decent full kitchen, although there appeared to be no way to make ice. "Breakfast was buffet with a few options but staff slow to refill when food ran out. No shower cap, vanity kit, etc in rooms. I hate using soap gel and the perfume was overpowering. Check in was a little stressful as staff were busy and not very attentive to our needs. We are also loyalty members and staff didn’t bother asking us until I pointed it out and then staff member said we’re not in system so we showed her our member number and tier… in other IHG hotels we are always welcomed with wine, fruit, etc, nothing here at Voco. Only plus was that this hotel was very close to cruise terminal but would prefer somewhere else next time."

"Amazing breakfast spread including everything you can think of. Very good deal on the evening happy hour as well. Friendly, helpful staff. Very convenient for cruise embarkation. Be aware that there are three Premier Inns in a very small area. Make sure you go to the right one!"

"Lovely property, beautiful location. Very comfortable bed, good parking and ev charging available. Room was quite hot (fan supplied but only a small window) and bathroom layout a bit awkward. Ensuring meals and drinks were correctly added to rooms was a bit disorganised - could do with a signing policy. Breakfast also a little chaotic, though a good choice."

"This hotel provides the basics, but it’s definitely showing its age. The building and facilities feel tired and in need of proper maintenance. Check‑in was efficient, though the staff were quite detached, which didn’t create much of a welcome. Our room was clean and neat, but unfortunately it looked nothing like the photos shown on the hotel’s website. The difference was disappointing and felt misleading. It’s an affordable option, and you do get what you pay for, but more accurate presentation and some investment in the property would make a difference."
