Family Trip to Huron

We had a great stay at this property. It was the perfect house to fit our large family. Great location for parks, beach access, and lots of fun adventures. Overall it was a comfortable, enjoyable stay.

Cedar Point Stay

Great location with just a short drive from Cedar Point. We were a party of 10 and there were enough beds for everyone and we love being able to all sit at the table for breakfast.

Beach rental

The place is decorated super cute, is close to the water and had plenty of space for our group to spread out. However, some things in the house need repaired. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider renting again.

Three generations

Stayed here for a college graduation. Three generations of family. Loved the house. Nice bedrooms and privacy. Master bedroom perfect for grandma. Big dining room table was great for late night card playing.

100% recommend

The property was perfect for our group of 12 (6 adults and 6 kids ranging 4-11). The kids loved the short walk to the park and water and would have spent all day there if we let them! Short drive to Cedar Point and other local places. Highly recommend the Cooke-Dorn House and the Merry-Go-Round Museum. We will absolutely be back to this house in the future!

Great for large families

This property was as listed and perfect for our family of 10. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. We love the outdoors and the patio was great both to eat on and to relax at the end of the day. The neighbor was friendly and nice to talk to. We were close to many fun things to do and were able to enjoy a nice quiet setting. The private park was a nice addition for a short walk and beautiful sunsets.

Very beautiful house

House was very spacious and clean, only complaint my friends and I had was the listing online is very misleading. The listing shows it’s on a beach, a bonfire pit, etc. Overall very pleased with the home though.

Extremely poor

The kitchen water did not work for two days. Pots and pans are totally unacceptable and plates and glasses are inadequate for the stated capacity. The house was constantly cold, the front door had snow and a constant breeze coming in. There was no local or network TV access on any of the TVs.

Eyesore on the outside

I was shocked pulling up to the property to see the neighborhood is so trashy. Its on par with a trailer park. Houses are run down, old signage from lost elections is up on a gazebo thats falling apart and its you see first thing turning onto the street. Jarring BUT the inside of the house is as pictured so no surprises there. Communication was non-existent on vrbo, i resorted to messaging the host on Abnb & they responded immediately when i never heard back from them on vrbo. It weirds me out they tell us not to strip the beds and put the sheets in the washer?? The oven is old but they fixed the door issue another guest had. I also didnt see any dog hair so that was nice. Overall, the house is nice on the inside, plenty of parking & when i called the host he answered.

Jimmy the owner was great at communicating with us. Easy to get into the house and it is decorated really cute! We've stayed in several homes and it was a nice surprise to have coffee pods, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent & cleaning products available! It seems the house needs a little freshening up. Pillows are flat, all the beds upstairs are squeaky & not very comfortable. The skillets in the kitchen need to be replaced. The kitchen has just very basic stuff for cooking. That was fine with us, we ate out most of the time. Didn't see a toaster or blender...things like that. If you don't know the area...which I didn't...the neighborhood has a lot of run down homes in it. Not the owners' fault. But just FYI in case you don't know the area. We didn't feel unsafe though. The air conditioning worked great and plenty of parking in the driveway. Nice home and comfortable, just needs a little attention to detail.

Great stay, but not cleaned well at all

Location was great. Great communication with owner. But the place needs a deep clean. Toilets had pee around the bottom. Floors were so gross, we had to clean them after we were there about 30-45min because our feet were black. Walls in upper bathroon need cleaned. Everything needs dusted including vents. If this place gets a new cleaner, we would stay again. If not, its a no go for us. The owner did give us a 100 refund for having to clean on our vacation.

This house was a great choice for our family because of the space and near by amenities. There is lots to do in a short driving distance and the Rye Beach Park near by was a great place that was near by to get kids energy out.

Great relaxing Hideaway

Fully furnished and really nice eye for detail decorating with the history of the Huron area. Easy to find location, quiet and clean. Snow storm hit during our stay but we were warm and comfortable. Beautiful location for the summer months!

Great location

We stayed here with our family and 2 pups. It was a short <20 min drive to Cedar Point, which was the purpose of our trip. Our teenagers loved the park/playground being about a block and a half away and we loved the small beach by the lake where you could see Cedar Point. There were a lot of, what we assume mayflies, but that is expected being right near the water and the time of year. It fit us all comfortably without feeling on top of each other and we can’t wait for our next trip that will hopefully be longer next time.

Good place to stay at lake Erie and visit cedar point

House is nice and well for a larger family. Jimmy was a great responder when there was an issue. Rye beach community itself is beautiful located but a couple of empty / worn down places were not so nice.

As advertised

The property was just what we were looking for. Our family planned a few days in Sandusky to go to cedar point and the beach. The property is located minutes from both. We had a great time and would definitely come back!
