"Well positioned property, by the side of the airport, with a free shuttle. Rooms are spacious and clean with a good pool. All members of staff were courteous and attentive. Breakfast buffet was excellent with a lot of local food and exceptional service. Special mention must be made of Raul who was jovial as well as efficient and made us feel as if we were long-lost friends. When I contacted reception to find a place to glue back the sole of one of my shoes which had come off, she rang maintenance and the gentleman who responded offered to do it for me, which he did in a couple of hours. This is what I call exceptional service! Having an Alsama Tours desk was a bonus, the ever efficient Jolene arranging a number of excellent tours for us."

"Perfect for a late arrival into San Jose before heading out for the week. Our flight arrived 11:30pm and the shuttle picked us up within 5 minutes, another 5 minute drive and check I. Was quick and easy being in bed by 12am. Most of the car rental agencies are in the same parking lot and after a decent breakfast I picked up the car and on the road by 9:15 am. "

"This is a huge property and beautiful and professional. The staff is so nice and friendly and helpful. We had some technical issue in the room and they immediately changed the room and in our next stay after 2 days they actually waved our charge for the stay and also arranged Dinner as courtesy."

The hotel is wonderfully quiet, the rooms are spacious, and the bed is incredibly comfortable, I slept like a rock! What truly sets this place apart is the staff. Olga and Arlen in the restaurant are exceptional. Their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine effort to make every guest feel at home is something you rarely find. They made each meal feel special and personal. I came back because of how great my first stay was and this visit just confirmed it: Villa Los Candiles is a true gem. I’ll definitely return again."
