ACCESS NOTE: A 4x4 vehicle is strongly recommended to access the property. Guests have used an AWD vehicle to get to the property with no issues but understand that using an AWD vehicle is at your own discretion.

The space
Welcome to your serene retreat in the heart of nature. The main house invites you with a fully equipped kitchen, complete with a dining table accommodating up to 4 guests. Unwind in the cozy living room, featuring a TV, a comfortable couch with a lounger and an additional chair for ample seating.

Rejuvenate in the main bedroom furnished with a queen-size bed, while the adjacent main bathroom offers convenience with a sink, toilet, and shower, as well as a washer and dryer. Step onto your private balcony and immerse yourself in the soothing sounds of the waterfall or relax in the hot tub surrounded by thoughtfully arranged patio furniture.

For added privacy and tranquility, the second bedroom boasts a separate entrance just steps below the main house. Here, you'll find another queen-size bed, TV and a well-appointed bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower.

Indulge in the natural wonders of the property, including breathtaking mountain vistas, your very own private waterfall and enchanting trails winding through lush gardens. Step into a world of relaxation at the Pavilion that is equipped with swings. This is more than just a place to sit—it's a front-row seat to the stunning, ever-changing landscape. Guests booking for 2 people only, please let us know if you will need separate sleeping accommodations and we will have the lower bedroom unlocked for your stay. If we aren’t told that separate sleeping accommodations are needed, the lower bedroom will be locked and unavailable as we usually only have this room open for groups of 3 or more.

The eastern side of Costa Rica is green all year and does not suffer from tourist fatigue. It is a more “authentic” Costa Rica with fewer U.S fast food chains and no large hotels. The Caribbean coast has beautiful sandy beaches without the tourist crowds. Turrialba is located halfway between San Jose and the Caribbean coast. It is set in a bucolic valley and is surrounded by large sugar cane and coffee fields. It’s large enough to have a hospital and numerous doctors and dentists, some of whom speak English.
One of the draws for the Turrialba area is white water rafting on the Pacuare River. The only ancient ruins in Costa Rica are located nearby in Guayabo National Park.
