This home for eight is just a block away from Santa Cruz's breathtaking West Cliffs, with gorgeous views of the Pacific and soft, golden-sand beaches only moments from your door. Spacious front and back yards give you all the room you need to relax in the sunshine after a morning by the sea.

Inside, wide windows and brightly colored walls give this home an open, energizing atmosphere that's perfect for a home base near the beach. Admire the hardwood floors and occasional potted plant as you head over to the sectional sofa or daybeds to relax. Wireless internet and a flatscreen cable TV make the living area a nice place to pass the time.

The kitchen is only a few steps away and boasts everything you need for cooking in its plentiful wooden cabinetry. Make use of the dishware and stainless steel appliances to whip up a delicious meal for your family and friends, which they can savor at the breakfast bar seats for four or table seating for six.

Leave cleanup to the dishwasher and head off to bed. Three bedrooms allow eight guests to stay at once. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed and private flatscreen TV, with two queen-size beds in the second room and one more queen bed in the final room. Great for families.
The house is one block from West Cliff Drive. It is a one story house in a neighborhood. There is plenty of parking, a nice kitchen, and room to move around in We enjoyed our stay.

Great neighborhood and location. Disappointed that a washer and dryer were listed in amenities, but we did not have access to them. Floors could have been cleaner

Disappointing
For the good: The location is amazing. One block from walking along the coast and four blocks from great coffee shops, markets, etc. The bad: For dinner the first night I preheated the oven. When I opened, I was hit with a ton of massive chemical fumes from oven cleaner that had not been wiped out. The couch, as mentioned in a previous review, was incredible uncomfortable. The house is in need of serious TLC- mold on bathroom tiles, water spots on ceiling, etc. However, the biggest issue we had were ants- they appeared sporadically all along the baseboards, the bathroom tiles, etc. One of our party had them in their bed and when arriving home they were in some of the dopp kits. I called to let the company know and they asked for pictures then said it may be due to the weather. I understand that but we ended up leaving a day early, both due to the storm and one of our party had ants in their bed. With the amount we paid for this property, I was extremely disappointed.

Santa Cruz Getaway
This is an older property which is clear in the listing. The living room furniture is very old and soft. Hard to get out of and should be replaced. We were just there for Xmas and, unfortunately, the oven and stove went out; the microwave door did not work; the toaster oven was broken and we did not have instructions on how to access the laundry room. The next day a very competent handyman corrected all this except for the toaster oven. The walk along W. Cliff is beautiful and only a short block away. It generally worked for us with 6 adults and 1 kid 4 yrs. old and a baby. I would go there again if the furniture were updated.

We would definitely stay at this house again. Pro: The location is amazing. It is one block from West Cliff Dr, and one mile from Natural Bridges. There is lots of light and big rooms, a nice front and back yard. It is one story. It is close to restaurants and coffee shops. The kitchen is big and better supplied than earlier reviews mentioned. The washer and dryer are available, but you need to ask for a separate code for the door. There was plenty of space for 6 adults and two children to gather and to have private spaces. The beds are comfortable. There was plenty of parking. There is streaming services on the TV in the living room, but the DVD is only in the master bedroom. We would stay again. Con: This is definitely a beach house, not a resort. The couches are not very comfortable. The floors were dirty. There was a problem with the shower making it unusable, but they fixed it within one day. Bring your own shampoo and soap. The management was responsive to our issues.

Nice but needs upkeep.
Not well maintained, a bit run down, amenities were not sufficient., no laundry, no beach towels. Location was great. Unuseable back yard. Weeds galore, nowhere to put clothes. No hangers in closets. Nice kitchen,, and well appointed. No one answered our call about the A. c. Unit. Beds were comfortable. We had a good stay but needed to rely on relatives in the area for many basic items.

Great location and space
We enjoyed the house and yard very much for a family trip. The beds and furniture were comfortable and there were plenty of chairs for outdoor seating. Gorgeous walk to the cliff at the end of the road and not far away from great beaches and attractions. Check in and out was smooth.

Floors were dirty to walk on with bare feet. Plants/yards had not been kept up. Plants needed watering. Weeds everywhere. We could not use the back yard. No TV usage. Seniors like their news daily. The pictures led us to believe of a neat clean comfortable place to share time with the family.

Dirty sheets
We had many hairs all over the pillows and sheets. We sent pictures. Manager said her best housekeeper cleaned it. Doesn’t matter. She clearly didn’t change the sheets in the master bedroom. They offered $50 discount. Very disappointing. This is a spiking pandemic. No shame.
