It’s great having breakfast on the patio before the sun gets too hot . Buses are excellent and only 1 euro 60 cents to get to most places. Good too catch a bus back up the hill after a day on the beach. Slightly more expensive to get to the airport but if the time suits much cheaper than a taxi which usually costs about 22 euros.

For those not wishing to walk down to the beach there are regular buses which will take you down the hill. Sometimes a good idea to take the bus back up after a long hot day by the sea. The pastries are very delicious and sitting on the beach is a great way to enjoy them.

Location is so important . Nice to have bars and restaurants just round the corner and good to think they are just a short walk away especially in the evening. The buses are very handy if you are thinking of going further afield. And 1euro 50 is all it costs to travel to Santa Pola or Alicante. The road train is good fun if you just want to travel around Gran Alacant. Repeat bookings are, of course, always very welcome.

I agree the Location is great

The sun orientation is now included in the main description. However guests are always advised to take layers of clothing during the winter months, for indoors too, as the Spanish houses are built to keep the heat out and not in. A new oven is awaiting delivery. All the mattresses and sofa bed have been purchased in the last year and from a personal point of view we find them all comfortable. Of course the smell from the downstairs toilet will be investigated.

10% discount off published prices for repeat bookings. Walking or running back up the hill from the beach is a good way of getting fit whilst on holiday! Once you have figured out the timetable the buses are very reliable and a very inexpensive way of getting around either locally or further afield. If the buses aren't compatible with our airport departure and we have family members visiting then we order 2 taxis....at least it's not far to go.

The Community Pool and beautiful beach are idea for families. For the more adventurous or older children there are lots of water sports going on ("paddling", snorkelling and diving) in the near by Santa Pola. Further afield there are the water parks (near Benidorm) and animal safari (Elche)

There are so many lovely things to do in the area. Like many of the local community pools they are only open from about mid June til mid September......they would probably be too cold outside of these times anyway . The local Spa has a small heated swimming pool and also a very large jacuzzi type pool which is open all year round for adults. Of course the sea is always there!

Our aim is to make everyone feel at home and to have everything they need. The benefit of a car is places can be reached more quickly although walking back up the hill from the beach will keep you nice and fit! 10% discount for returning guests

Relaxing holidays are great. During the lovely sunny weather it’s wonderful to cool off in the clean pool or have a wander down to the sea.

During July and August the main beach is more crowded although we have always been able to get a sun bed. However just a short drive away (can even be walked) on the beach road between Gran Alacant and Santa’s Pola, there are quite a few quiet coves where you can have a lovely relaxing time right next to the sea. Going in the opposite direction towards Alicante, the beaches in Urbanova are always much quieter.

Our house is ideally situated in a side road which leads off the main road which leads down directly to the beach (as explained on VRBO website). The building work, which was due to have finished by now, is making good progress and soon to be completed. Upcoming guests have been advised. As explained in the description our TV has Spanish channels with just a few English channels.

The building work started in summer 2021 so hopefully will soon be finished. Having stayed there ourselves during this time we realised there is some building work going on in the local area. There is obviously some unavoidable noise but this hasn’t detracted from our enjoyment and we have had our normal wonderful times. They appear to start work around 8 but by the time we arrived home each day they had finished (about 6) . Our wonderful views of the sea remain unchanged. Of course all guests were and will be informed. The road which leads down to the beach is normally busier during the height of summer.

Our house is situated near the top of a big hill which is why we have such good views, especially from the bedroom windows. It takes about 10 minutes to walk down but longer walking back up. For those not wishing to walk or drive, there are regular buses which you can catch. There are approximately 8 steps to climb to reach our door but the patio itself is flat .

We love the water filter too . No longer need to carry big plastic bottles back from the shops. We like the idea of a dishwasher and will give the suggestion some thought.

Cleanliness is our top priority especially in these times. It's also important to have everything guests will need to help them have a happy holiday

We do have a full length rail on the stairs in the house and also on the 8 steps leading up from the road to the door (on one side) . A full set of sheets are always available on request for a small cost to cover the laundry .
