Sunny View Cottage in the Beautiful Wine Country

*We are finally back! Our son and family have moved into their new home after the 2017 Tubbs fire.

Freshly updated two bedroom cottage attached to the main house. Cottage includes full kitchen and bath, granite counter tops, tile and hardwood floors. Located in a quiet, country neighborhood with surrounding vineyards.

Stay inside and enjoy access to wireless internet, HD TVs, a cabinet of board games or let the kids go outside and play on the large lawns. Cottage includes full kitchen, dining, living room, bath with washer & dryer, master bedroom with king bed, guest room with king bed, queen sofa bed, keyless front door.

Full access to a beautifully landscaped property with more than fifty rose bushes.

Within less than 3.5 miles you will find 8 wineries as we are located in Sonoma County's Russian River Valley wine region.

- 15 min to Armstrong Woods – take a leisurely walk through majestic giant redwoods
- 20 min to Korbel Champagne Tasting Room
- 10 min to Kendall Jackson Winery
- 20 Min to Healdsburg and the Dry Creek Valley wine region and 45 minutes to Napa
- 22 miles to Bodega Bay’s sandy beaches and dunes
- Bicycle enthusiasts will find that the cottage is a perfect launching point for riding through the wine country as we are located just a mile off Levi Leipheimer’s King Ridge GranFondo route.
- At the edge of the property a pathway meanders through more than 100 acres of neighboring vineyards, perfect for an evening stroll, sit along the vineyard reservoir and watch the sunset. (sorry closed due to Covid-19)
- For an elegant meal you can make a reservation and head a minute down the road to the highly rated Walter Hansel Wine & Bistro, the Barlow in Sebastopol is great for restaurants, wine tasting and outdoor shops or for a casual meal head a few minutes into town for a Taqueria or maybe stop at Simply Vietnam.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sunny View Cottage! We visited Santa Rosa in order to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Peanuts at the Charles M Schulz Museum. Such a peaceful location just outside of town. The cottage was very clean and cozy. It had absolutely everything needed. By far, the most well appointed place I’ve ever experienced. A great space to stay as a base for exploring the area as well a spot to stay in and relax. Would happily stay there again.

Pretty little cottage in a lovely area. Quiet neighborhood close to amenities and the wineries we wanted to visit. The hosts have thought of everything to make this the perfect home away from home.

My daughter and I had a lovely stay at this property. It is in a great location with a ton of nearby wineries and cute towns to shop and go out to eat! The home is really comfortable and in a quiet, nice neighborhood!

Great place!

Sunny View Cottage is comfortable, well-equipped, and charming. The location is quiet and rural but very close to great wineries, restaurants (we loved Walter Hansel’s Bistro, just around the corner), and hiking/biking trails. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

Wonderful place to stay!

We enjoyed our stay tremendously and wished we could’ve stayed longer. The cottage is located just out of town so it’s quiet and peaceful with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It nestled right up next to a Vineyard. Everything was perfect.

We have been coming to the area for several years when we come to visit our son. This was the best rental we have stayed in. Very comfortable accommodations and great location. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, as was the bathroom. Beautiful, quiet location, yet near shopping, and all the area has to offer. We will be back!

Quiet beautiful home

Awesome Santa Rosa stay!

Loved the house and although I was worried because it’s attached to the main house we had full privacy during our stay! Excellent location near to beaches, wineries, kids activities and groceries too!! The house was fully stocked and it looked just as the photos displayed it!

Convenient location in the wine country.

Back for a second time to this very well furnished, clean, and set up location. We prefer Sonoma County to Napa when we visit Northern California, which is often, and this is a really fine central location.

Country Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage for a girls' getaway! It was comfortable and quiet, and perfect for our needs. The only hiccup was a power/water outage for a few hours our first night, which was completely beyond anyone's control. When I texted the owners to report it, they responded immediately and followed up with PG&E.We can't wait to go back!

Lovely place!

I stayed in this cute cottage with my 17 year old. We live in the country, so loved being in the country, but yet close to everything! The cottage was clean, well appointed, with easy check-in. There is a rose garden out the living room window that i enjoyed. All in all a great place to stay!
