Excellent hotel. Room was super clean, bed was comfy and aircon worked well. The location is good, close to the city center and to the train and bus stations. Buses can take you easily to the beach. Breakfast was OK. And staff very friendly.

It was lovely. Convenient location. Good transport links. Lots of nearby shops and cafes. Staff helpful. Air con much appreciated. Room done every day. And the restaurant staff didn't mind filing my flask with boiling water so that I could make a cuppa in my room!

The hotel entrance is round the corner from the cafe where we went in, but the waiter quickly pointed us in the right direction. Staff were great and very helpful. Breakfast in the adjoining cafe was excellent with delicious tortillas. We also used the cafe fir a snack the evening before and again the tortilla we chose was excellent. Good value and in a convenient location.

Good for the weekend

Good hotel for the weekend. Breakfast was in the cafe which was lovely. Room was quite newly refurbished and all you needed for the weekend.

What’s the difference between a 2 star or a 3 star hotel? For us this was 3 star. Clean and comfortable, nice bathroom. The hotel is connected to a very popular restaurant . The breakfast was served in the restaurant and there were a mix of hotel guests and locals. The location was in the pedestrian area. We thought this stay was good and good value for money.

Lovely stay in Hotel Picos de Europa. I arrived very early, hoping to leave my luggage and return later to check in. Instead, the reception checked for available rooms and I checked in right then. Room was comfortable with a complementary bottle of water. Good location for bus and train stations

We arrived at 1pm and were able to check into our room. Very clean, powerful shower and small bottles of complimentary water and toiletries replenished each day. Great location for walking around the city. Hotel guests receive 10% discount off menu del dia, served 1pm-4pm - choice of 3 starters, mains and desserts and includes bread and half a bottle of wine each for €18. The Rioja wine is very full bodied. Highly recommended for authentic home cooked Spanish food. Would highly recommend this hotel.

While the hotel itself has potential, there were a few significant downsides to my stay. First, the hotel is tucked away in an alleyway. It felt quite isolated and unsafe to walk though at night. Second, the room layout was inconvenient: there was no mini-fridge provided. Lastly, the bathroom design is deeply flawed-the shower only has a half-glass door, which caused water to flood the entire bathroom floor every time I took a shower.
